Oh my, where to start this comment!?!! I became a Big Fan of you when I read "The Screw Tape Letters". That was the begining of my understanding of Demonic activity in the Life of a Christian. I am a recovered addict (By God's Grace and Mercy). Trying to keep this short, but so much has happened in my life, I'm not sure if that is possible! On May 30th, 2005 my Husband woke up completely terrorized by a dream he had of a T-Bone Car Crash. He said it was so REAL that he didn't want to go to work. We owned a Painting Contracting business. He was running five CREWS when we met at a very exclusive Island in South Carolina. We moved to Charleston, S.C., got married and we adored each other. He was training 2 Brothers who were in Recovery, mentoring them, reading the Bible to them at Lunch, testifying how God blessed him so many times, saved him so many times, and never left him. Like myself, we were believers since we were kids My Salvation was due to my church, my believing friends and to a BILLY GRAHAM CRUSADE!! How Blessed am I?!? More than you can imagine. Jesus never left us, even in addiction. The Holy Spirit has warned me, more than a couple of times, to leave where I was hanging out or to turn right instead of going straight - where drug dealers were in a shoot out over Terf, killing a 72 year old Grandmother on her on porch. After reading your book, I often saw people who would get high - and their faces would, I guess you would say "morphed" into a Demon, sometimes picking up a Butcher Knife or a Baseball Bat, paranoid that someone or the Police were coming. Frightening, but I knew what I was dealing with, praying under my breath commanding the to Leave, in the name of JESUS, and kept on saying JESUS - It was SO AMAZING to see the Demon run out the back door, or go hide in a back room. Especially since I was using drugs at the time!! Trying to make this not so long, I eventually went through a Deliverance, with my Pastor and other Spirit filled Church members standing in the gap, calling out different Spirits she was feeling, like abortion or prostitution, etc. They cast 21 Demons and after that - I felt 20 pounds lighter, that heaviness and darkness, shame, regret and self - condemnation just LEFT me! Thank God for You HEARING and OBEYING the HOLY SPIRIT. I share that Testimony now at jails, juvenile hall, drug court - EVEN TEN YEARS AFTER WE BOTH WENT TO JAIL for 90 days, where the Sheriff had started an in-house Recovery Program for inmates - I got to share my Testimony with over 300 Graduating Inmates - I was Blessed to be the Main Speaker! My husband was in the Video that the Sheriff and inmates had made and now I take the video to other Jails, paid for by outside Volunteers and Canteen. What a wonder Gift God gave me - a new Season, with a New Assignment, after loosing my husband at the age 48 - married only 3 years. My ashes have turned to JOY!! There is SO MUCH MORE to my Testimony, like when the Enemy tried more than once, to take me out - I said "Should have killed me when you had me!! I've gone HOME and will take MANY OTHERS with me!!!
