Don't use ISLC: Producing and consuming too many resources will cause interruptions since it cleans itself automatically, in addition to the constant polling due to its usage. Furthermore, each operating system has its own Memory Manager and cleans itself as needed.

Great guide, as always. But I suggest always maxing out Texture Filtering to 16X. It not only cost 0 FPS, but it sharpens and boosts the visual quality of your gloves, weapon and the ground below you. It's an old optimization and literally has zero impact on performance, regardless of the game. Unless you're on super old gen hardware. Edit: it seems some of you are getting fps impacts. Either CS2 has this setting poorly implemented, or you’re on really old hardware. Look up any guides, AF should cost nothing in performance.

Its maybe worth noting that different areas of the map can impact fps quite heavily, mainly maps like ancient and anubis (the water areas). Also its worth testing in an actual game environment because you will take a bit more of an fps hit with more smokes/mollys/players etc etc.

I think the problem might actually be that CS2 doesn't like the latency settings in the NVIDIA control panel like you mentioned, so disabling the NVIDIA control panel latency option and having it enabled in CS2 made my game stop lagging!

@@stinker6784 No, if you have a larger monitor that is 4k, there is actually a huge difference between 4k and 1080. I have a 4060 laptop which is mostly meant for 1080p gaming, for most games it doesn't even like 1440p. So I often have to play at 1080p if I want 100+ fps. But I'm also playing on a neo g8 odyssey monitor which is a 32" 4k 240hz monitor. 4k looks incredible. 1080p looks super, super blurry. 4k low settings often look better than 1080p ultra, esp when it comes to textures and stuff. All the texture details just disappear at lower resolutions, it's like you put textures on potato all of a sudden. It always hurts to have to play at 1080p, it also makes enemies just much harder to see because they are far more pixelated and blurry. Esp if you're shooting long distance. I'm actually thinking about selling my laptop and building a 4070 pc but I feel like the prices are sky high and 5000 series are about to release so I will end up really regretting it if I build a 4070 pc now. Not to mention that there is a big chance the 5000 series cards might not work with the motherboard etc I get for the 4000 series card, so I might not even be able to upgrade.

Most of your launch options are removed in CS2. - For example these convars no longer exist: cl_interp, cl_interp_ratio, tickrate, cl_updaterate, cl_cmdrate, mat_queue_mode, cl_forcepreload - d3d9ex is useless because the Source2 Engine used DX11/Vulkan - freq is also useless in CS2, ass you can now set the refresh rate ingame - novid currently doesn't work, the only fix to that is to delete/rename the "intro.webm" and "intro_720p.webm" files in "Counter-Strike Global Offensive/game/csgo/panorama/videos" In conclusion, the only good launch options for CS2 are "-high" and "-console"

Game is running buttery smooth at 1440p RTX 3080. 240hz monitor Gsync + vsync + reflex enabled which caps fps at 224fps. Also add the engine low latency command to your autoexec for the most stable frametimes.

Enabling vsync gives such a calm and continous view in motion and strafing. If your rig can stay above monitors refresh rate, enable it. It looks better than Gsync and freesync

Followed lot of guides, got a I7 8700k (a bit older) and an RTX3080 + 32Gb of ram, can't get more than 120fps on Inferno. Other maps are OK, since they do not drop at all. was a 350+ on csgo. The game optimisation is a total mess, and i dont think source 2 is totally ready. As long as i know, there is a short bottleneck on my config when used at 100%, but it'll never get over 80% of usage ingame, even if i think about switching on a I7 13700k.

I don't wanna be rude but putting the game on your C: drive won't do jack. The only way this could benefit you if your default installation folder is on a slow hard drive and your windows installation is on an SSD. A better solution would simply be using a faster 7200RPM drive or just have a dedicated SSD for games like this.

EQ profile is exactly as it sounds, simply just applying an equaliser profile to your audio. If sharp sounds better to you I'd suggest that's because your headphones have a dull sound signature with recessed mids/highs

Downloading it on C drive only helps if all your other drives are HDD's. If it's a M.2 or SSD you can install it on other drives and it won't have any impact on your game.

thanks I'm in the low end pc I watch other vidoes about this and they somewhat improve from 40 to 60fps then I watch this video it became from 60 to 90fps

What I don't understand is there is guides stating not going over your refresh rate, so capping games at monitor refresh rate due to screen tearing ...ect (a general consesus in majority of games). But what is it about this particular game that makes people want to hit as many fps as possible? I get it's purely a competative game, but If you have a refresh of 160hz, why aim for over 500? Are you not getting screen tearing or other issues? Genuine question by the way.

For some one have a good PC out there, at least your PC specs got through cs2 minimum system requirements, so if you still stutter, i recommand clean your PC, change your cpu thermal paste, maybe dust is the problems. I hope can help some one.

Yep. After this tutorial my ingame refresh rate couldnt go over 75hz (normally im on 144) and from 300fps went on 200. :D I´m done with you. :D

Havent tried stuff from the video yet but the game doesnt use my 3060ti properly and the cpu is not too bad like it shouldnt bottleneck or whatever, cpu is ryzen 7 5700g Something is weird though, if i launch a server without any bots on it my gpu usage is around 60-80%, if i add bots the gpu usage drops and i have no idea why...

I've already tried enabling resizable bar on cs2 and it makes my mouse movement less snappy, I'm not sure if it's placebo or not but I'd personally rather just keep it disabled
