CSAO/SRNJ Interchange in Swedesboro, LOTS of Cab-Mounted Leslie RS3L Horn on the Salem Line in NJ

I saw SRNJ #100 for the first time in about 2 years last week in West Deptford, and then found your channel. I go literal years between seeing trains on this line; looks like the Salem line is used more than I thought. I don't think I've ever seen NS or CSX use this line before this vid, however...

Conrail used this line from Woodbury to Swedesboro up to and after the merger with NS/CSX in the late 90's. Since then, it is known as Conrail Shared Assets Operation (CSAO) and utilizes NS and CSX locomotives. Many of the locomotives used are repaints from Conrail blue. In Spring 2018, SRNJ successfully leased the Woodbury to Swedesboro portion of the line from CSAO, and now runs the entire length, not just their own section. NS and CSX locomotives no longer patrol the line, just deliver and/or remove the SRNJ cars from the Woodbury Junction.

I used to hear this type of Leslie RS3L in Palmyra and Camden growing up. Miss it. Wish Big Blue was still around so I could go down by the tracks and wave to the local crew.

Yes, with the blue Conrail hat. The pastime back in the mid-90's was to watch Big Blue switching around Del Monte boxcars along the Interchange, having lived near the rails for many years. While things have changed a fair amount, it was good to see a horn of the past in use yesterday, so I appreciated that.
