I agree with you (and Billy Incardona and Justin Hall) that the cue ball should not have been cleaned in that situation, but I really don't think it made any difference; I think it got put back exactly where it was, and I think Corey had exactly the same shot he would have had.

I'd really like to see whoever is keeping the ball count do a better job. At 47 minutes +, Corey has 6 balls not 5 as shown on the screen. Count the balls on the table and subtract from 15.

It would be nice if the announcers would explain the rules at least once in a while. I can't figure out what the object of this game is. But then I guess these games aren't meant for the general public, right? I've only been playing pool for 16 months.

I knew who Justin hall was and even played in a tournament he was in once so mabye im not the "general public" But this is one pocket, the point of the game is to get 8 balls in your pocket. each player has a single designated pocket and they only count balls that go in that pocket. The game is a lot of defensive play, the players usually do not leave their opponent an open shot, since the opponent only has one pocket they can legaly shoot in it makes it easy to leave them safe. so the game is slow.

To be fair, this video is from 2013 when the Cyclop balls were literally brand-new. What used to be maroon (or burgundry or brown) is now »aqua«, what used to be green is now »lime«, and the new orange is a tad too close to the red color. In my head, I kept correcting Billy Incardona constantly whenever he was referring to the wrong color/number, but only because I figured out that the striped number of a color is the solid number of the same color plus eight (e.g. the 7 aqua, so the 7+8=15 is striped-aqua).
