Fascinating. First One-Pocket match I ever watched. Aside from the very slow third game grinding to a complete halt at about 59:00, very intriguing.

The sound level on a lot of these pool videos is almost always way lower than other videos I watch on youtube, even with my sound all the way up I can barely hear the guys talking over the video. You should have it too high, because I can always turn it down, but when it's too low, I can turn it all the way up and still barely hear them talking.

27:04 Great story by Billy Incardona about the first time he met Earl Strickland when Earl was eighteen and being backed by a pot dealer - Billy was backing Mike Sigel at the time. Would have liked to have seen that match!

i know these people pretty good, Earl mostly. i have never heard Billy's story about "bumping into Earl before he ever left Roseboro" playing Captain Hook out in the barn. that story just helped my crappy day improve a bit from laughter. i believe Ted Harris the cuemaker may have mentioned that before but i would have loved to have been in the car with Billy and Mike on the trip home.and heard that conversation.

first, although Earl gets irritated when he is playing pool sometimes he probably is one of the most compassionate and a person who is charitable, trustworthy, and really not boring of all the top players over last 30 years. he is God-fearing and Patriotic, more than you can say about most pool players or most people in general. he still has the best touch and speed control in the world. he will pick up the real advanced and creative stuff like Efren knows in one-pocket. i think he will

Billy's sense of humor is growing or better he is getting funny. "Earl said talking during my most critical shot", directed to Billy. he said "thats what i do' first time ever hearing that response to a sharking tatic.

ITS FUNNY HOW AT THE VERY END HES EXPLAINING THE TABLE ROLLED OFF AND COMMENTATORS ARE LAUGHING HIM OFF BUT IF YOU PAY CLOSE ATTENTION YOU CAN SEE THE BALL STARTING TO ROLL OFF ITS PATH WHEN THE VIDEO IS CUT AT THAT MOMENT HIS BEHAVIOR IS NOT SPORTMANSLIKE BY ATTEMPTING TO BELITTLE HIS OPPONENTS TALENT BY SAYING HES JUST LUCKY THATS NOT COOL BUT HE DOES MAKE A POINT WHEN HES COMPLAINING ABOUT THE TABLE ROLL ALTHOUGH THATS NOT THE REASON HE LOST THIS MATCH

Compared to top players they both lack any real one pocket knowledge. I don't understand why Justin Hall slammed his game winning ball at the end of the 3rd match. This isn't 9 ball
@davids1113111310 жыл бұрын
At least these guys play a somewhat aggressive game instead of the deathly boring pattycakes most 1 pocket players do back and forth in their 1:30 minute zombie games.
@CKC-gk2dh9 жыл бұрын
+davids11131113 I agree! They need to have a shot clock in one pocket. Makes the game way more exciting that way.
When I play Earl or someone like him when he complains I'll say hey Justin timberlake wrote a song for you. It's called cry me a river cry me cry me with the full chorus that usually gets them to shut up lol

I don't know why he smashed at the last ball he needed in the 3rd game. Should've slow rolled it even if he missed and could've beat Earl but instead smashed the hell out of it like he was playing the corner on the next table over.
@fishblade211 жыл бұрын
I did see what Early was complaining about at the end of the match. The table did have a spot on it where the ball swayed some off of the original course because he he it so soft.

Earl lucked in his 7th ball in game 1, had it not fell he more than likely loses that game with a 6 0 lead, Justin didn't say 1 word when Earl shit the ball in lol but Earl cried to crowd about how lucky Justin got the entire 3rd game lol Earl the Pearl!!! Lol

it must have been wired for the scratch in the corner. that's the only thing I could think of. He drawed out of the scratch but he had to jack up and lose all his accuracy on the shot.

Billy showed us just how classless he was. Doesn't matter if you are a spectator or a commentator, if a player says you are making too much noise and distracting him, apologize and stop doing it. Don't make smart ass comments like he did.
