a lot of people fail to realize that 8-ball on a 7 foot is one of the toughest games. 15 balls in such a small area causes a lot of problems.
@intothepark5 жыл бұрын
Maybe strategy wise but that's not the main reason why we should watch....more safety play/having to bump more balls/having lots of balls to shoot at/SUPER easy pockets with all short shots makes 8 ball Very very random. The tables need to all be 9-10 feet (for shot difficulty/publicity from the general public) and the pockets need to be the same width to ball ratio as snooker. Pool is just sooo luck based right now... The difficulty of the game based on random chance means nothing, difficulty based on tough shots will usually give you the better player. If you try and go pro right now without knowing you're a s good as shane... You're not the brightest fella with all this luck they allow... I refuse to pay Winner break tournaments. Fucking luck fest joke

at @18:15 he calls shane a deaf mute. I know he is pretty much deaf but hes not a mute, I talked with this guy before.
@MJStraughan8 жыл бұрын
Robert Hunter The commentator says a deaf mute managed to develop into a great player. At 19:08 it is explained that he didn't start speaking until he was 3 years old and how difficult it was. So it was meant that he managed to overcome his speaking trouble, is still deaf, and is now one of the best pool players in the world.

Danny DiLiberto brought him up quite a bit in the Accustats videos going back to the 90’s, as there is a term in pool called “ a cosmo” it’s an easy runout! Danny D would mention him and how he glided around the pool table entertaining the crowd while running out as Cosmo would set the balls up that way! That is where the term came from Cosmo nickname!

The % is just the percentage they have for winning the match at that point, based off their fargo rating and the current score. How is fargo rating assigned? Just from playing in fargo rated events. Ah, the break will humble you. The balls don't care that you are 20-20 in a race to 21, or that you spent 5 min making a perfect rack, or that you spent more time aiming it than a Z bank shot. I think as experienced as Shane is though (and wound up winning), that he (re)learned a lesson here from the 18-20 game. Looking back at that would be easy 5 ball run out, I could already seeing how he was smiling before that, just feeling a little too comfortable. He came up short on an easy but crucial match winning shot that he didn't put much energy in (mentally or physically). Confidence is great but a little nervous doubt goes a long way to keep you focused. Shane seemed to have lost that (I am sure partly due to his winning both the 8-ball and 10-ball tournaments). Yes, a little too comfortable almost cost him the match.
