This is making me miss my ENTJ teacher. Everyone was afraid of her and I didn't understand why. She was always generous and thoughtful. She even gave us printed copies of her notes and told us that there is no need to write. I remember that time when I lost my textbook. She literally brought new one for me...

"I know ENTJ's that constantly give and give and give and they're so generous and yet everyone accuses them of being greedy" that one really hits Also that part: 18:18

Well they can be very greedy, their vice is avarice. That’s not to say it can’t be unwarranted, but that’s probably the main reason they are called greedy. Also the fact the Te hero cares a whole lot about money.

@@jackyp1893 Please don't. Although I get why you say that because people take advantage but I don't think you realise how much you inspire people around you. I'm an INFP and I love you guys so much! ENTJs inspire me to stop being so self-absorbed, my ENTJ friends are the reason I've never been passive and noncommittal like INFPs usually are because ENTJs will criticise me for that and hold me accountable. I also keep ENTJ from being corrupted from constantly reminding them how much value they give to everyone around them and how generous they are. I think that you should just cut out people who are ungrateful and are bad people. Your generosity and love for other people and always trying to give others a good experience are so rare and really give people like hope for humanity knowing that people like you exist! I'm gonna make sure to hug every ENTJ I ever meet. You are amazing people!
@gigglesmcdounut723
@gigglesmcdounut723 2 жыл бұрын
That always hits hard because I give and give and give people a lot of help. Then people go around saying I don't do anything and that I dont do enough. At that point I stop giving because how can people say I do nothing for them when I'm out here trying so hard to make their life easier. That's why I cut those people off. I'm very picky with who I hang out with now and if someone shows signs of being ungrateful then I end the friendship or association.

It's insane. When he speaks about how we constantly show others our work and what we've accomplished for confirmation from others that we have worth, I almost started crying. That has been one of my biggest struggles for most of my life especially considering my father has always told me I won't be successful, even though I work day in and day out to become something big. When I was watching this, I pulled a fat ENTJ move and tried sending videos to my friends to help THEM understand why I do certain things, which I realized is just me looking for approval. When they skipped my videos and didn't seem to care it just made it even worse. And that's the problem, most people just don't really care about a lot of things, it's not us as ENTJs being bad or boring, it's them not caring. Something I need to remember in the future.

Can relate to the Si trickster. I have over 7000 photos on my phone accumulated over 3-4 years that I don’t delete Bc deleting them would mean losing the memories connected with them. Even if it’s just a photo of a random fire hydrant...that one photo captures the emotions I was experiencing at that moment as well as where I was in life (career, city, worries, hopes, etc) When clearing photos to gain more phone storage, I immediately delete the photos that don’t evoke a flashback or emotion and really struggle with cleaning up the rest. It becomes a decision of “is this memory important enough for me that I’ll appreciate remembering it in the future?”

Story time: i found an ENTJ friend and in the beginning it was such a rocky road. I felt constantly triggered around him (infj here lmfaooo what else is new) yet he treated me so very well too. In all this confusion we kinda fought and didn't talk for 3 months because i tried to loyalty check him and... I guess he tried me as well? Or he was used to friends letting go of him, which gave me a feel like i couldn't connect as deeply/in a real way. But i couldn't really let it go. I had a feel like this wasn't a real door slam, i didn't have the cold righteous certainty that i was in the right. And i couldn't forget you video about how sick our loyalty checks can be lmfao. So i texted him for his birthday. He was immediately kind, didn't give a fuck about our mean ass messages from three months ago just looming in the chat lmfao. i was reluctant to enter a real friendship again. But he was just so enthusiastic and innocent about of course we'd meet over the semester break. Mentioning all the places we should go to some time. So one thing led to another and with a little bit of both of us letting our guard down, we're now best friends. I feel like i have a friend for life. Within the frist month he did more for me emotionally and literally thru services, than some people I've known for over a decade. He's the best. The most supporting, helpful and most considerate guy i know. The funniest and most protective person I've had the luck of getting to know. He gives me so much confidence and he's so direct in his advice. Usually when i talk about people who have drained me, i apologize a lot of their behavior, and i induce sympathy for them in my friends which makes then say shit like "yeah i understand, must be hard for them" he doesn't give a fuck about redeeming qualities, if anybody wrongs me, he's always like "cut em off, tf" lmaaooooooooo

ENTJ woman here.. The part where you talked about entjs going out of their ways to help others is spot on. And how people don’t understand or think it’s insincere. We just have a pushy approach to the problems, and we are straightforward about them. So as we go through these experiences, we start to detach more and focus on ourselves more, which eventually makes us look greedy and selfish.

Im a 17 yr old ENTJ girl and yes! This video is described me very well! I cried in some parts of this vid 😂 This is so spot on!! Abt the paranoid thing,give others a good time, push people to see how loyal they are, forgetful thing,, even my friends called me grandma 😂 because i dont know i just cant remember the past well, so that's why i keep videos/photos, and write a notes too...turns out that this is indeed an entj thing 😯😯 Sometimes people compliment me by saying that im smart/beautiful but that doesn't satisfy me(??) Strangely i feel the happiest when people just say that im a GOOD person. Thats it,then i'll be smiling all day long 😂 and thinking what other methods i can use to make people say that again 🤣🤣 Thank you for making this video!! In the middle of this pandemic i learned to understand myself better 😊 And to others that meet an Entj, give them a hug then say tht they're a good person...im sure they'll melt bcs of that 🤣 Stay safe & healthy!

Awesome Vid. The way I would describe ENTJ (i am one) is that we are benevolent, autocratic leaders. First of all: We need to be the one in charge, because if we can't control the situation then we can'T guarantee an optimal outcome. Second: We are benevolent towards you. We don't try to take advantage of you, we want the best for you. (if we consider you to be on our team) Third: We need all the necessary Information presented to us in a thought out, efficient form. That's why we can seem impatient. If you are wasting our time by not giving us the important stuff in a timely fashion, then the positive outcome is in danger. Fourth: Despite being benevolent towards you we strongly believe that we are better at managing the situation than you are. So after you have given us the info, made your suggestions, you will be given orders and you need to follow these orders to the letter. We want you to excel at this because then we don't have to micromanage you. Nothing makes us more furious than when 'subordinates' are too incompetent (or too full of themselves/or too distrustful towards us) to follow our orders and then we need step in and micromanage them so the whole project doesn't go downhill, which leads to them believing that we don't value them (which we don't, because they are incompetent) and then the whole relationship becomes antagonistic and we can't have that, especially if you then go ahead and label us as control freaks when it is, in fact, all your fault for making us having to control you, because you can't be trusted with simple tasks. Fifth: That's why it is important to us that people/teammates/subordinates think highly of us. We need them to trust us and be loyal to us, so that they perform their duties without question, the battle is won, the tasks accomplished and we all get the outcome we hope for. If they don't respect us and don't trust us and won't be loyal to us then the whole team is doomed.

You mean altruistic? Benevolent is attached to ENFJs. But fair enough.
@johannesdolch
@johannesdolch 6 жыл бұрын
Well, what i mean is: I want the best for the people that are on my team, even if i want to have control/power over them. I don't want power over them to gain money/whatever at their expense. I don't know if altruistic fits because I also want the best possible outcome for myself. But english is not my first language, so maybe i am interpreting that wrong. BTW: Do you have some link to this "Simple Goal System" ?

As an ENTJ artist, this video almost brought me to tears at the last part. I used to draw a lot and nothing can describe the amount of passion I felt when making a piece. I have transitioned into music now because Its gotten harder for me to sit still and focus recently, but every now and then I will feel the pangs of my artistic past and see glimpses of works I know I lack the patience to create. It hurts but hopefully I can ease those pains by channeling that potential into songs. Overall I loved this video and if anyone wants to get a glimpse into the ENTJ mind, I have some videos on my channel from when I used to draw, feel free to check them out. I am not pursuing KZbin anymore so don't take it as a plug. cheers! -Miles O'Brien

As an infj, I feel great interacting with entjs. They are very intelliget and concrete and you can have interesting conversations with them and they tend to listen to what you have to say instead of just vomiting their opinions and ignoring yours. The contrast between their "bossyness" and their need for love and validation is also delightful and even funny once you learn how to interact with them

Saph Saphsaph thank you for the support. I have a very soft spot for ENTJ women and it is important everyone knows the truth about them. Sure, they may be emasculating in the eyes of men but to me, I find that necessary and attractive as a way to challenge men to stay the course in their manhood. Sadly, that is a rare thing in our 1st world society.

So I’m an INFJ, but I can understand why I tested previously as an ENTJ. ENTJs are brilliant people, but who still really want to be loved and to give of themselves. They’re not feely in how they deal with the world, but they are still people who care about doing the right thing. There’s a lot of common ground between those two types, which is why I’m often drawn toward ENTJs.

I took the same test the next day & answered as I am truthfully & came out as an INTJ, the real me. I can shift from entj, intj or infj depending on my mood & is very much aware of the deviations. I remember which part of the test items I answered differently since the questions were highly situational.

Thanks for this. As an ENTJ I often struggle with whether it's worth winning at a particular "thing" not because of the cost or sacrifice but, how it may change me as a person and whether I will ever be able to get back to a rational view point. The ruthlessness of competition does put a bad taste in my mouth, I enjoy being a good sport, but the need for so many to play dirty really brings out the worst in my character. I'm thankful for this explanation, It's a good release to have have it described for you. This is absurdly accurate especially with the writing down things, i'm a note factory. Also, I'm working on accepting the loyal people in my life they are here, and I need to nurture those relationships, and be thankful. In my life I've always projected my self to lead or been projected by others and, while I know I'm capable; I truly appreciate loyalty in a way words cannot describe. Anyway, my sincerest thanks to you.

A lot easier said than done to just “leave an ENTJ alone” because of their Fe demon. I did this to TWO ENTJ friends because although I love them, they always talk over you or completely ignore you when it’s your turn to speak during a conversation. Obviously that’s an Fi users biggest pet peeve. But once you stop talking to them they make it about what’s wrong with them with Fi inferior and question your loyalty with Se child, and confront you about it and now everybodies crying

I’m so close to getting a drivers license. If I give up now I know It’s going to lead me down a really dark path. *Stagnation* (especially to us ENTJs with mental baggage) is a vicious drain of hope and purpose that only us ENTJs are disconcerted by. My dad is an ENTJ, and this explains so much. Because of him, we have order in the house. He CAN be controlling, but he is doing it for the best of everyone(Fe). He taught me a lot of good things in life. (Driving, Staying dedicated, working hard, ext.) Im an ENFP, so when I use my Te child, his Te hero really appreciates and recognizes my work and tells me I can do anything. The ENTJ childhood part of the video was so true. He was very misunderstood as a child and we just wants the best for his kids. His artistic ISFP side also comes out and he loved bob ross. So we’re both really artsy, creative, and imaginative. Also like in the video he’s very forgetful haha. Anyways, ENTJ can be really good parents. And I’m thankful to have that :)

I'm a writer, and I like put my character through personality analysis to see if they have a coherent personality throughout the whole story, and also to help me figure out how they'd react in any given situation or interact with other characters. The main character of the book I'm writing now is an ENTJ young woman. I think she's a not so mature version of the ENTJ. Many of her internal conflicts rise from her inability or the impossibility of using some of her main cognitive functions to her best capacity. She grew up very confident in her mental and physical abilities, but at the same time her childhood was very frustrating from the social point of view, where her impulse to lead and control was constantly suppressed, or she had to limit herself to use these abilities in ultimately irrelevant situations. So she kept everybody at arms length either by necessity or spite, and she doesn't take on any stable or meaningful leadership role... She just tags along the other MCs (the real heroes and leaders in the story) and pushes people around very forcefully and unexpectedly when she sees an opportunity to further her personal goals. Oh, yeah, she's closest to an anti-hero, although she's perceived as a possible-villain-in-the-making by others. The way I see her manifest her demon side is more on the lines of "Oh, you're scared of me in my most effective and driven self? You don't think it's a good thing? Fine, I'll keep being driven as f***, but don't expect me to be helpful to YOU anymore". Rinse, repeat. And I pair her with an ISFJ. They end up being good for each other at first, but at the same time both of them are so jaded by the world that their negative characteristics amplify each other's. I hope my portrait of these personalities are consistent and logical... It would be fun for MBTI fans to analyze them and type them correctly (assuming I've typed them correctly too... I'm not trying to make them fit a mold, just seeing what mold fits them better).

Well, watching this video and listening to you made me feel so many things.. At times I felt like I had to make immediate changes, and I did, then I felt compelled to remind myself of many, many, too many hard emotions I underwent as an ENTJ child .. and the way it's influenced many of my relations to some people, such as my own father.. Then you went to the most surprising part about our subsconscious as artists and yes, I felt like I was about to cry. I've been writing poems since I was a child and, well, people did love them, a lot. At the same time, I used to draw and was very talented. I don't have the time to keep drawing now so I don't even though I still have the ability ..and I'm always creating new ways to express the artist living in me.. Thank you for using such words to speak of us, of me. May the Universe keep teaching you so you can teach life to us again.

OMG 17:00 is SO accurate! My dad specifically has never really appreciated me or seen me for who I am. Honestly that was a big motivation for my success. This is really very accurate overall. Love your vidoes

Thank you so much for making this video! It really helped me understand myself better. Everything is spot on 100% true! I was never aware that this was my type, I always thought I was ISTJ or ESTJ but now everything makes much more sense to me. Thank you so much!! 👏

ENTJ female here. Spot on. Used to try to care about people, but they always made me feel shitty so I gave up on that and now question my moral decisions when it comes to the lengths I go for financial success. I understand my coworkers and they are nice but I keep it confined only to talking at work. Because I'm trying to get promoted, and everyone around me seems threatened by me doing my job well. Two raises and a promotion in six months and they make up lies about me not being a good worker. Nice try. Don't want to waste my time on that shit.

ENTJ here... this video gave me chills lol. I’d like to think that I’ve developed in N and have begun the process of not cutting people off based off of my assumptions. I’m new to MBTI but glad I’ve come to a lot of these understandings through self-reflection and meditation. Ironically enough I’m heavily involved in the entrepreneurial community and their heightened awareness of social dynamics has helped me greatly. I loved the emphasis on introverted sensing - trickster. I’m organized because I know when I’m not I become a lazy and impulsive shit lol. Great content can’t wait to learn all of this and be able to maneuver and understand people even deeper.
