Thank you for this video! I had not been adding the glue first to my ribbon crimps and managed to destroy a whole bracelet that way when the crimps decided to come flying when the bracelet was tugged on a bit. Now to master keeping my bell end caps on round style bracelts. Today two I had glued on several days ago promptly fell off when the bracelet was being put on. I had a lot of extra space between the cap and the cord and didn't use this type of glue but used the kind you use for macrame cording (like when wrapping a stone). I have some of the e6000 and will give this a go instead:)

I just finished my first bracelet. Thank you for your instructions!! Had to laugh because of all the sizes of ends I have, none really fit. Darn I guess I have to go shopping. I will take my braid to Michael's to see if that helps me find the right size and maybe check out the sale while I'm there

oldladytoofast That sounds great. Hehe, that's just typical isn't it, but yeah, great idea bringing the braid with you to make sure you get the right size :-)

You can make your own end cone (or whatever they're called) with 20 gage wire. Use a knitting needle for a "cone mandrel". I saw it here on KZbin, but the lady didn't use a knitting needle, she had a specialized tool. I suspect knitting needles would be cheaper.

Hiya, I use split rings instead of the jump rings as I find the jump rings come open to easily. But thank you for a great video I love the tie around to prevent unravelling, that has always been a pain for me.

Hi Christina, lovely designs :-) you got here can't keep my eyes of them. Pls I need help with clasps sizes especially the round ones. Can you kindly give me guideline with the clasps in mm from the smallest to the biggest pls. Thanks
@CSLdesigns10 жыл бұрын
Alabi Ibagun Thank you very much. It's hard to give you exact guidelines as it all depends on the materials you are using, but you can get them all the way from small sizes around 5mm, which I use mostly for kumihimo braids with s-lon cord, and then up to 12mm, which are for larger projects. I mostly use the 8mm - 10mm sizes as they usually fit braids made with satin cord the best. I hope that helped :-)

NICE, BUT HOW DID YOU GET YOUR BRAID FLAT ?
@CSLdesigns9 жыл бұрын
+ivory Roberts You can achieve a flat braid by using a square kumihimo disk, or also using certain techniques on the round kumihimo disk. I have a few tutorial on my channel showing it :-)

I find that E6000 has a strong odor that does not dissipate even after months of airing the pieces out. I do not feel right selling a product with a strong chemical odor. Another designer recommended Crafters Pick while another designer suggested a 2 part epoxy. Do you have any suggestions?
@beckyj58754 жыл бұрын
They have an odorless E6000

How do you know what size s-lon to get?
@CSLdesigns9 жыл бұрын
tina hudson It depends on your project really, and if you're adding beads. Because then you just have to make sure that the cord will go through the holes in your beads. But otherwise it just depends how thick you want your braid to be :-)
@tinahudson26429 жыл бұрын
I made your cross last night using the s-lon. I dont have any satin cord as of yet it turned out realy pretty.
