Very interesting! I hope the book has done well. What attracted me to this was a picture which is in other places on the internet, which I've taken a great interest in, of a group of young men on the steps of a building, with one young woman in the middle of it. It's been called the graduating class of 1894, which is in error. I've spent many hours trying to identify the men in it and have succeeded at identifying about half of them. The group is actually about two-thirds of the graduating class of 1892, who had completed the two year cruise that was then required, prior to receiving appointments as officers, and were back in Annapolis for their final exams. I don't know if you are interested, but I didn't think it would hurt to say something about it!

1892 Captain Charles Fearns Macklin, USNR Macklin’s class ring was donated to the Naval Academy Museum by his son Captain Charles F. Macklin Jr in May 1962.

You should count your blessings it didn't go the other way it would be inner city Baltimore on the coast count your blessings again you wouldn't be talking history in the comfort and serenity that you live in we had it under control remember that.
