I just got these, they feel very good and the foam is amazing. Protective and amazing feedback, but they are extremely snug from the box. I’m on the process on breaking them in, and I do have fairly large hands, but the hand room doesn’t seem to get any better on the 16oz. Just a word of caution.

I have both the extra padding and the new precision gloves. I haven't used them too much yet, but I agree with Jorge. The hand compartment is snug (but not too much) on my 16oz and my hands aren't too large. The extra padding gloves have more room in hand compartment. The latex on the extra padding gloves is dense and you will feel a lot of feed back and impact for sure. They require a lot of breaking in, my hands hurt for the first handful of times. It is not very protective as compared to Top Boxer Win 1 or Ring to Cage Japanese style gloves. But thats not Reyes is known for. However, I do have fragile hands. The new precision gloves feel a little more protective on my hands but the double grip bar feels awkward and a tiny bit uncomfortable to me when making a fist. The padding is a lot softer. Maybe things will change with time as I break them in more. Both are quality gloves and look great.

Hey Carlo, great unboxing, thank you. I have the Cleto regular gloves and use those when I want to feel the bag. Recently received the Top Boxer gloves based on your review and now those are my favorite pair. My wrists are taking a beating and the Top Boxer offer lots of cushion. Will be getting these in red as it looks it would help with wrist support and jarring. Keep up the good work!

My Reyes gloves feel very uncomfortable at the base of the thumb after a while using them, any recommendations on how to break them in faster?

I've found two methods to accelerate the break in of my Reyes lace ups. Put them in my office chair, place a cushion over them, and sit on them. Make sure the palms are down with the thumbs facing out. Wrapping my hands ultra heavy with Winning knuckle guards, getting someone to help me into the gloves, and sitting around the house awkwardly in gloves that feel like they want to kill me. This really made a huge difference in the thumbs. Between a few days of this and about 40 rounds on heavy bag, they're getting quite a bit better and I can comfortably fit more wrap into them.

I was having an issue with my left thumb them like you. I took a pair of clamps and clamped the thumb at the seam so it was folded towards the palm. I then warmed up the oven, turned it off and placed the glove while clamped inside the warm oven then I just left it in there for a few hours. I was able to mold the them to a more comfortable position. You can play around the shape of the thumb. I was glad because I liked everything about the gloves except the thumb
