Great guide, however I was wondering how you can put this into JavaScript. You have a script in HTML, but when I try to copy and paste it into JavaScript, the toggle no longer works. How can I fix this?

Can this logic be applied to the bootstrap toggler nav? Since my nav bar is transparent on small screens I used jquery to add and remove bootstrap classes, however if you are at the top of the page and press on the toggler all items are clear. So ideally if you press the toggler while its still clear it would add classes bg-dark
