Thanks for giving a wonderful explanation about Vivaldi antenna. I want to design a Vivaldi antenna for 800 MHz to 3 GHz. I have tried both in planar and metal Vivaldi structure. Not getting resonance at lower frequency is 800 MHz to 1 GHz. What modification need to be considered for tuning at low frequency.

Reflection coefficient is called S11. It is a measure how much power the antenna can accept vs. how much power you give as input. Some power is wasted as "reflection" . S11 measures that thing

your math is wrong! Any number raised to the 0 power is 1. If y = s+ e(rx), when x=0, then y = s + 1; NOT y =s!
