Went to Chico State University back in the days. Never needed a car to go from place to place and only a bicycle will do just fine. Nice place to live, to go to school, well diverse communities, party town, and friendly people. Wish I could move back! Thank you for sharing and hope you can enjoy the area as well as I did.

Just do yourself a big favour and do not try to bring a globe of beer in Whitney Hall pulling it up from the side of the building!! LOL we had that happen while I was there living in Shasta, everybody in Whitney was locked down for the entire weekend The powers that we got Nguyen of this situation (or should I say the smell of it-short story, rope broke as they were pulling it up the side of the building and beer and glass everywhere!!) LOL.

I attended from 1982 to 84. A lot the same, and a lot new. It seems like my "home" building is long gone. Siskiyou Hall was straight across the street from Langdon. That's where most of my computer science classes were, and the computer labs I spent many a night and weekend working in. My one favorite spot was the amphitheater behind the physical sciences building. Good quiet place to sit and read. Saw some friends get married there too.

Great Chico Campus Tour, thank you for sharing. We are taking our daughter to Chico State this weekend for an in-person tour. You stated in your video that you were a nutrition major. My daughter is still undecided on her major but is considering the nutrition field to be a registered dietitian. Can you give any advice on how Chico has helped you with your major and how have things turned our for you? Thank you again!!!

So, I’m about to transfer with an Associates for transfer in a field I really do not want to do but my counselor told me that I should just finish it since this Fall would be my last semester and that once I transfer I can just change my major. Is that something I can do? I don’t want to end up transferring just to find out that I am stuck with the major I declared. Idk if it matters but I am getting my associates in Administration of Justice and I want to do Nursing.
@fendipurse4 жыл бұрын
yes! you can apply to a different major. however some majors have prerequisites; you can go to assist.com and put in your CC & the university you want to transfer to -> show agreement and it’ll show you what you need/ if you can apply to each certain major

Does CSU Chico have some kind of need-based aid? And does it have dorms? As an international student these are super important to me! :) Alsoooo, is it possible to work on campus as an international student?
@marnie_jean4 жыл бұрын
It does have need-based aid and dorms, and tons of international students live there! I think it is possible to have a job as an international student (especially inside the international student office in the SSC) but I’m not sure how that works as far as work visas and such

Hi, Make sure if you don’t use campus housing that you are able to find a place to live. As an international student, You may not be aware that Chico State is about 20 miles From the town that was almost entirely destroyed in 2018 by a fast moving fire (Paradise). Thus, the city of Chico population grew by something like 30% within the past two years making housing much more difficult to find. Chico State is gorgeous and the town is lovely also, just make sure you spend time getting your living situation worked out. Best wishes!
