Marnie great fucking job! From a wild floor of Whitney Hall to three years of madness living on the corner of 7th and Hazel; I can't disagree with anything you said. The only thing I would have added is the streets directly North of campus where a lot of your fun will be spell out CHICO. Chestnut, Hazel, Ivy, Cherry, Orange. That fascinated so many people who would ask for directions back when phones flipped. While watching I even found myself completing your sentences at times....you said something along the lines of not mobbing with groups of more than.....and I said simultaneously seven or eight. Great advice.....Chico is simultaneously very chill/friendly and wild/unpredictable. That was an extremely cool idea Marnie, Every incoming student will transition to life as a Chico State student if they trust your description of he dynamics unique to Chico. Time spent trying to get comfortable with the norms of the community; is better spent making new friends and memories. And where memories should be...but sometimes aren't. Way to go Marnie, ya darn 🦊

Went to Chico in the 80's. It was the number one party school in the whole nation. We used to go by frat parties and bomb them with green oranges. Very cool scene in those days, before the Hip Hop, gang bang shit. Is Madison Bear still there? The Grad? Town Lounge? Anyway, good video, from an old party dog. Brought back a few fond memories.

Tiki Tavi Madison Bear is still standing & thriving! I used to work in the kitchen there. The Grad is gone and idk about town lounge.. It’s not the #1 party school it once was but it’s still possible to have a good time

idk what the party scene is like post-covid but i can’t imagine it’s that hard.. the bars are notoriously affordable (especially compared to the city i live in now) and if you don’t act weird you’re most likely fine
