This video is about what is like to live in Chico California. This is a interview style reflection on my time going to college and living there.

Ahh I know this video is old now but this was cool to see. I've lived in Chico my whole life but I plan to go to college elsewhere, and I can't imagine leaving. It's a great place.

i lived in chico for two years and loved it. Everything in the video is on point. its pretty laid back and outdoorsy. I mean its the city of trees. the only downside would be the heat june-September (100 degree days ). If you can survive the heat then Chico is where to be

me n my family drove through chico many times going up to shasta, always thought it had beautiful scenery but never knew what it was like as a town. I'll tell ya, after visiting there last summer and seeing the whole town and all the nature spots, I seriously fell in love with chico. I'd even like to live there someday if I could, it's one of my favorite small cities I've visited, and coming from someone who's seen 8 different states and went around the world, that's saying a lot, and definitely prettier than Sacramento, unfortunately.

I love Chico, lived here on and over total of ~6 years Beautiful place, natural pristine parks...... but liberals and democrats encourage homeless drug addicts liberals don't help people get jobs, they hand out needles and encourage the homeless to sit in their tents and do drugs, spending all their money on fentanyl, funding the cartel which then targets kids, making new homeless drug addicts........so now I have to pick up trash because the city and homeless wont........... if not for me, Bidwell park would be covered in scattered trash

I was born and raised there. Moved away in the mid 90's because it just got too big. In my teeange years our population was15,000-20,000. The university pretty much took over the entire downtown which, if you were raised there, was very sad. I still miss it, but it's the old town I miss. Church bells on Sunday. The bells from the college. Mom and pop stores. The parks and the creek. I wouldn't let my kids go through the park by themselves now. In the 70's kids could take off on their bikes, be gone all day, and come home safe in the evening. It was safe.

Same man. I was born, and grew up there. Moved to Ohio when I was younger due to my father’s job. I’ve always wanted to go back, ever since the morning after I moved. If I could go anywhere in the WORLD, I’d go back to Chico.

Joshua Law I feel you. I’m from Saudi Arabia and I was born in Chico in enloe hospital. I moved back home when I was 3 years old. Then when I turned 18 I moved back to my second home Chico California to complete my collage. I lived there for 6 years and graduated in 2015. Now I have been in Saudi Arabia for 2 years after my graduation. Chico is the half of my heart. I will visit Chico for sure. ❤️

I used to go to school the there.. It was fun,,, but as I got older it was just too dam hot in the summer ..I did notice that I did not fit in anymore due to my age.. I am an old guy now.. The town it seemed had changed and it has grown and a little to crowded .. The cost of living there has gone way up..But I still like the atmosphere,, but at this age I need to be close to the hospitals...I have good memories of the town..It has changed but so have I...

Dude the homeless is out of control.. smoked a joint with a few and they all say the same thing. "My house burned down In paradise" but they all had track marks and one admitted he just got out of prison.. seems like an amazing little town destroyed by homeless. I didn't see any ghettos or hoods.. just middle class suburbs with a million bike tweakers. And Im not even talking about downtown.

I grew up in Chico. My family left in 1999. I decided to move back last year, stayed in Chico for about 6 months and realized that it wasn't the same place i left 20 years ago. I Didn't care for all the Liberals that now live there. When I lived in Chico 20 years ago it was a far more conservative place. A lot of hunting, fishing and conservative values, but not anymore lol There are way to many homeless people on the streets now. It's gotten so bad the homeless have literally taken over Bidwell park. There is way more crime...way more gangs.... way more drugs... and a lot of mental illness now - When i went back i only lived there for 6 months and had my apartment broken into. I had a $800 Specialized bike stolen and my friend who is a local there would constantly have his mail stolen from people passing through towns. Half the traffic lights don't work correctly in Chico now lol. To say that Chico is a "Great" place is certainly an over statement. Especially now. You can't even really walk the streets at night alone now. Chico has become somewhat of a dangerous place lol Maybe 20 years ago it was a Great place to live. But definitely not now. I decided to leave and move to another State, it was the best decision i have ever made. Found a much better place to call home - God Bless Chico CA I Will Always Love You - Get better please !!!!!!!!
