I went to david lee to learn bbj, tryed his nogi / csw class and had the best workout ive ever had whilst having fun (i cycle comute 80 m a week past 7 years ).You use every musle in your body and you sweat like your in a sauna.Essential begginers will warm up do drills till every1s tuckered out so that in sparring no 1 burst Exsplosive energy as these leverage technique are real! As the newb expect to be smothered squeezed dominated in pins whilst you struggle to survive and in between rounds where you gasping for air and water try to make eye contact with another stranger whos also exausted, wink and point both go over bump fist.Maybe a min in u tap reset sit up take 3 deep breath exchange names bump fist go again,5 minute round up buzzer rings shake hands say thankyou to your new friend.Get air water, exausted feeling like never before make eye contact find energy you never knew you had, rince repeat. This is the funnist way to punish your body to truly push threw ur mental barrier. We all wish we would of started sooner

What makes Eric so good is he's an expert catch wrestler as well as BJJ black belt so he knows the counters to both of these disciplines. He also includes Bruce Lee's philosophy of being like water since he is also a practitioner of JKD among other styles as well. I say this man along with the Hayabusa Academy and Mark Hatmaker are who people should go to to get knowledge you won't get anywhere else. 10th planet with Eddie Bravo is cool too but his focus is too much of being biased towards BJJ as being better than all when it should be open minded.

He does a seminar at the gym I train at every year, you learn so much from him in a few hours than you would with others in months

I just realized that back of his shirt it says "Catch wrestling: The lost art of Hooking" ? Is it just a coincident or is that referring to Tony Cecchine's old school instructional video set? Coz Wow, that would be a worthy praise to have from a elite wrestler like Erik Paulson.
