CSX, Amtrak & NS Action At Selma NC With YN2 Leaders, LHF Running & DPU’s 2/17/2018

Some mid morning to early afternoon action at Selma Union Station. We’ll see from CSX Q400 running north to Rocky Mount, and U303 heading south to Cross with DPU power. In addition to CSX we’ll see NS’s E26 local running to the Hess Plant and back. We’ll also see a late running Silver Star as well as the usual Carolinian, and Palmetto’s

This spot is right downtown Selma at the Amtrak and is easily accessible off of I95 or by train.

Does this place have high train traffic

You have 10 Amtrak's; Auto Train, Palmetto, Silver Star, Silver Meteor, & Carolinian; of which the Palmetto and Carolinian make station stops in Selma. On NS you have two locals that work in the morning and evening, and two daily freights that arrive and depart from NS's Selma Yard. Also there are as needed grain and ethanol trains as well. Finally CSX should see 4 intermodal trains, 6-8 mainifests and as need coal and grain moments as well. CSX traffic usual comes through in the evening to early morning hours.
