Very Cool !!! Back in the 1950's this place was busy with NH EF's coming and going over the Hell Gate Bridge and NYC Port Morris Branch Ended here too could imagine the amount of Freight traffic back then they must have had at least a 100 trains a day coming from Fresh ponds or Bay Ridge coming and going I wish they still used electrics on Freight trains

@@robertdipaola9683 Hi Robert & Matt - I remember getting off work after midnight in the summers of '65 & later I would park on 142nd St & Bruckner and wonder at those idling EF4's - they were like gigantic living creatures, you could hear them breathing with the hum of their transformers, converters & cooling fans, waiting for the next run to Cedar Hill or Bay Ridge. The tail end of the glory days for the NYNH&H RR. Sigh.

Excellent angle. I love finding angles that no one else has used.

Thanks. I agree. I used to try to always find a new angle, then I gave up. I originally set the camera on the bridge, but was afraid it was going to fall. Then I tried different angles. Finally, I decided to keep it simple.

Any idea of the train symbols that now run in and out of Oak Point Yard?
