Updates to the CT scanning service! They just marketed a CHEAPER option that will still provide images of potential hits! This price option is not enough to affect modern, but things will only get better with time. As someone that wants to open vintage some day and assume they are not searched and safe, it is very discouraging. More companies are likely to arrive soon to take advantage of this market. Pokémon and other TCGs will no longer be the same.

I think it's just a 15$ addon, so you don't have to use the software :)

I know they changed the wording a bit since this was published, but you still "Receive images of potential hits" with this service. You don't receive the CT scan files though.

at this point pokemon and other card companies are going to have to start spending money on pack wrappers that block this, which will likely mean a bit of an increase in packs, if that's even possible.

Ok so if they can scan vintage, and than scan modern sets like Pokémon, one piece, dragon ball etc than people will eventually stop buying all of them than Bandai , Pokemon etc. will go under if nobody buys their products cause of scanning and if so couldn’t these companies take the scanning company to court ? But hopefully they can’t afford it or it won’t be worth it. if it’s $15 per pack and say one piece for instance a whole case would cost them $4320 to scan

We'll see. I know they do volume discounts, but modern is probably not worth scanning at this time.

You can't unless they make some sort of system that would work with sealed product.

I am extremely worried now cause a good majority of buyers and community streamers do get product outside of distribution sources. This will hurt the customer/buyers and incredibly cripple the streaming rip and ship live content creators 😢
