The destination displays seem to be higher resolution and display accurate line color as opposed to the standard RGB pink. Is this correct?

Lol that guy at 5:35 sounds so exasperated that someone dared try to board his train. Well, if you’re stopped at a station, your destination sign is set correctly, and you open your doors, what do you expect? Maybe you should’ve told people the train was out of service *before* opening your doors...? P.S. may I suggest you try using a tripod for your shots? It would greatly enhance the quality and steadiness of your long zoomed-in shots.
@ChicagolandTransit3 жыл бұрын
CTA's photography policy does not allow tripods on platforms. I recently got this camera so I'm practicing on ways to make the videos more stable. Also, they did make an announcement coming into the station but if you look closely, the guy was running thinking it was a Green Line train. He boarded the Green Line behind the 7000s. There's people out there that simply just see a train and board it out of impulse.

The brake squeal similar to the subway cars in New York is annoying. It’s not like the normal rail friction.

How come this railcar is so screechy?
@videonut19883 жыл бұрын
They have a different type of third rail so that’s why there’s some scraping. (These are the same type of third rails that runs on Transport for London’s Underground and Overground lines)
@blue9multimediagroup3 жыл бұрын
Either of 2 things. 1. Sleet scrapers to knock ice off the third rails. 2. The MITRAC propulsion system naturally screams when it changes acceleration due to the frequency changes within the motors.

Why this new trains sound too bad when they run?, maybe the friction with the icy rails cause that? Also the new trains look good, very traditionalist style with nothing different to impress
