Welcome to Episode 3! In this episode I finally install the turbo! This one took quite a few days after work to complete on my own, but the process was well worth it. The car is currently getting tuned and may take longer than expected, so the next episode may be a few weeks out, but don't worry, it'll be done before we know it. I can't wait to get the car back and share my excitement with all of you!

I had the same issue with the charge pipe not fitting my bigger turbo. The stock piping size is 1.75”. The ECS intercooler and charge piping are 2.5”. I ended up finding a 1.75” x 2.5” coupler from ETS and it’s been perfect.

Hi bro, awesome video! I have a audi a5 b8 2013 @ stage 2 revo. Im searching for an upgrade for my k03 so i see this cts boss 500 but my question is: what repro do you use with a big turbo? Revo only have stage 3 and i think with a garret big turbo do you need some repro with stage 4. Do you use APR or something custom? Any additional information about the repro would be useful, thanks!

Ive got a 2014 Audi A4 S line B8.5 running a stage 2 IE tune on the IHI K03 upgraded turbo/turbo manifold. upgraded diverter valve/spacer, IE Downpipe, Catchcan/PCV system upgrade kit. and the IE CAI. Just ordered the IE frontmount intercooler. Would I see much of a gain if I got that IE intake manifold kit? Or is it not worth the 1600 CAD to upgrade the already better than the regular B8 stock intake manifold? Thanks man, Love your content!!

I would have to have it flatbedded to the tune shop because I couldnt do that drive after the install without flooring it at least a couple times

Need your help. Went after a small coolant leak and now my coolant system won't hold coolant. The heater core return screw that mounts it to the water pump was loose and the screw that mounts it to the block was loose. Tightened both, put everything back togehter and it just won't hold coolant. I think from not knowing exactly how the pipet turned to drain it the first time, I ruined the gasket for the pipet. But I plugged that and still seem to have the issue. Great timing and all, to be playing around with coolant. Any suggestions on what to check.

At this point in the build I was using stock injectors (this was 3 years ago). Since then I’ve upgraded to oem mk7r/s3 injectors and a 034 hpfp upgrade, tuned by Ward Performance Tuning

Not sure about that one...If you watch the following episode, you'll see why. But it sounds like a K04 is more the way to go for a reliable daily.

United Motorsports tuned the car. As far as I know they’re the only ones who were willing to take it on. I don’t think they’ve created an off-the-shelf tune for it yet but hopefully mine helps to make that happen

How many turbine housings have you went through since ? Cts turbo 🤢. I had their shitty kit on my mk7. 3 hotsides in under 6 months.

Every single turbo install vid I have seen never shows the most difficult part which is the removal of the two lower 12mm turbo nuts on the front side closer to the airbox great video otherwise.

Fun tip - you don’t actually need to remove those. If you get a prybar and a hammer under the car, you can tap the manifold up and it’ll pop out of those little shelves. Sometimes you can even wiggle it out by hand, depending on the car. Then give it a few taps from the top when you put it back in to wedge it back into those shelves. Give it a try if you end up doing that project again
