CTS-V Headlight Restoration: Part 2 - Baking and Disassembling the Headlight Housings

This is part two of my headlight restoration process with my 2009 Cadillac CTS-V. In this video I show you how to remove the headlights, bake the housings and pry the lenses apart. I also show you how to completely sand down, polish, and restore the lenses with new clear coat once the lenses are pryed apart.

Not sure if you ever sanded your headlights but use 800,1200,2000 then 2500 or 3000 grit wet sand, then compound then polish and they’ll look brand new. Done it many many times on many cars including my V

You can fill a tote up with chrome stripper and it'll eat the chrome off the housings and take them down to the black plastic so you don't even have to paint them.
