Consumer alert: Name error on plane ticket causes travel woes

A man had to cancel his trip after writing his last name in the wrong spot when buying a plane ticket through a third-party site.

So, if some airlines allow you to correct the mistake the same day why is the problem other airlines can not do exactly the same, as they are claiming that nothing can be done unless you agree to pay a penalty? They shall not be allowed to deny customers to edit their names if an error was made. not fair!

It happened to me and my last name was mixed up with my middle one and they let me in the US no problem.

LoL Reminds me of a time the flight agent wrote my Welsh surname as a German one in my airplane ticket! Good thing the border officers ignored it and still let me travel! My best mate never let me forget that day and constantly teased me about it! LoL
