In this lesson we're going to play the Cuban Mozambique. This rhythm was invented by Pello El Afrokan and he became very famous with his Mozambique!

Maestro, That's the true way it is done and very well pronounced and executed. Your talent is extraordinary,"not like some, Anglo, that went to Cuba & thinks he knows it!", when, Pello, didn't teach it all to him.

In this tradition there was no bongo part. But of course you can make a part that fits in this mozambique. I would translate the 2nd pattern (conga) to the bongo.

I am living in Holland. This summer I have a busy program, so it is not really possible. But where are you living in Italy? If there are more people like you, interested in intensive workshop, perhaps I can come to Italy.

Grt, John
