Stephan A, there was not a single increase in veterans disabilities durring the 8 years under democrats. My first increase was under Trump. Under previous administration the federal government took our benefits away. When you are unable to complete your military contract due to a service connected disability you are given a severance pay. Once I was approved for Va disability compensation I was required to pay back the severance before receiving a single disability payment. Trump not only ended that practice he forced them to pay back what they took with intrest. This is how the Trump administration helped real people not just some statistical data pushed by people like cuban that very few can measure in real life terms.

There are so many distortions and outright lies spewed by Trump supporters it would take hours and pages to refute. Let's start with just a few. All of the following can be fact checked -- there are tons of sites on the Internet. Use them. *The economy was great under Trump and a disaster under Biden* Trump inherited a surging economy from Obama, who inherited an economy that was on the brink of a global Great Depression, which took years to come back from. Trump was the beneficiary of that comeback. Biden inherited an economy that was cratered because of a global pandemic. We and the world eventually recovered, but the recovery sparked "global" inflation (Biden did NOT cause it, stop that BS), which Putin's war just exacerbated. By every account, and "because" of Biden's policies and not in spite of them, we weathered inflation better than almost every other industrialized nation on earth. The Wall Street Journal, Murdoch owned and certainly not a Biden/Harris lover, said our economy is the envy of the world. If Trump wins he will inherit yet "another" strong economy from a Dem, but I'm sure he'll take all the credit (like last time) and crow that only HE saved our economy and his policies are perfect. *Immigration policy under Trump was flawless and terrible under Biden* Trump NEVER fixed the border after repeated promises. He never built a continuous wall and made Mexico pay for it. In fact, his border policies, included forced child separation, were so cruel he was forced to stop them. There are "still" thousands of children who have not been reunited with their parents. It's a national stain we'll have to live with for decades. Biden responded to years of that cruelty by having a more humane policy. He NEVER had or advocated an open border. He finally worked with conservative members of Congress to create the most comprehensive border bill in decades. A plan that even the most conservative member of the negotiating team said was the best immigration bill Republicans EVER got from a democratic administration. But on orders from Trump they killed it. Why? Because Trump didn't want to give Biden/Dems a win and wanted to campaign on it as a wedge issue. *Transgender issue is more important to the country than our Constitution* I know Trump/MAGA want to paint Harris as some sort of transgender queen, but we now know the transgender policy for inmates was a "Trump administration" program. I think Harris/Dems should answer the smear by flooding the airwaves with counter ads showing voters the complete hypocrisy coming from Trump. The Lincoln Project already has one, use it. But the transgender issue is just a metaphor for a complete over reaction and out-of-control hysteria from the Right over culture war nonsense that doesn't affect a vast majority of Americans. Our Constitution and Rule of Law, fundamental to preserving our very democracy, is light years more important, because without them and reliance on having a peaceful transfer of power we have no country. We will revert to a banana republic, where elections are rubber-stamped and dictators have absolute power. I assure you, when that happens whether a kid wants gender affirming surgery will be the least of our worries. *There were no wars under Trump* Ah, we were still in Afghanistan, and that was certainly still a war. There was that little war in Yemen. Syria was still aflame. There were numerous armed conflicts in Africa. Ukraine was at war with Russia (over its annexation of Crimea). Remember "what" Trump's first impeachment was all about? He tried to bribe Zelensky by withholding military aid in exchange for finding manufactured dirt on Biden, Trump's direct political adversary at the time. I could go on and on. Now, if one is going to accuse Biden of actually "starting" the war in Ukraine and in Israel that's complete nonsense. The ones who actually did the attacking are responsible. If the argument then is, well, Biden's policies "contributed" to causing the conflicts I could easily turn around and blame Trump for "his" policies, too. Trump's continual butt-kissing of Putin emboldened and encouraged more invasion, and Trump's Abraham Accords completely freezed out the Palestinians, which made Hamas desperate.

@slnsuz I own my own business and pay $450 a month for insurance with a $5000 deductible. That would be substantially lower if Obamacare didn't force people to have insurance and the insurance companies taking advantage of that. The hospitals also inflate prices when insurance is involved. My last ER bill said on it ...... $21,000 with insurance $7000 without insurance They need to regulate the medical industry and give us price transparency to lower cost through competition. The insurance companies raise their rates because the medical industry charges massive prices when insurance is involved. We have flooded ER rooms because of unfettered illegal immigration, which the hospital ends up passing the unpaid bills onto the American people. Government funded insurance would lead to government deciding what care you get and when. The government is inefficient at running social health. The DSHS program in my state can't even get repairs done in home for the disabled, then let their vouchers expire after letting the bids sit on their desk for 8 months. That money then goes back to the Federal government and the process starts all over on projects that should have already been finished. They don't pay their contractors in a timely fashion either. Now, the clients can't even get people to do bids because between lack of payment for services and not getting jobs approved for 6-8 months, it's a waste of time and energy. Government is far less capable than the private sector. We need to reign in the medical/insurance industry and keep incompetent government out of as many things as possible.

I held my breath and already voted for Trump. I didn't want to, but I couldn't deny the obvious. Everyone has their priorities, and I have mine. But I must say that I am sick of buying three bags of groceries and spending over $70 + for simple berries, vegetables and maybe some deli meat. It is insane. I have a son in the military, and I cannot imagine Kamala Harris being the Commander In Chief. . I've seen Biden & Harris' view of the military, and it isn't good. Every time I hear Bill define himself as a "historian/journalist", I always think of the late Bobby Heenan referring to himself as a "broadcast journalist". It always makes me chuckle. Bill ran over Moskowitz with the ferocity of a hurricane. Good to see. While abortion is driven a female perspective and I appreciate that and cannot relate to the physical implications, the fact remains that at the end of the day, dads have no rights. We don't have a right to be told about a pregnancy. We don't have a right to be given the option of raising said baby. we don't have any legal recourse to save said baby if that's what we would want to do. We do have the right however, to be hauled into court, put in jail, earn monikers of "dead beat dad" and have our paychecks siphoned if said mother decides to have the baby and acts in accordance with her wishes whereas dads don't have that or any luxury. And that's where I split with lots of women on this issue. This has nothing to do with "equal rights" or even "human rights". Men are ignored, left out deliberately in lots of cases (except when money may be involved) and that is unfair. And that is unjust. And that is where a lot of issues lie and I don't have an answer as to how to fix it. I am pro-choice as a rule. But I am also pro dad as a dad. And if that ruffles some feather, then so be it. But I have grown more than tired of men being marginalized and in essence blamed because nature chose females to reproduce and not males. I'm more than tired of hearing that it's between "a woman and her doctor" and never is the potential dad even considered. I just have a problem with that, and NO ONE brings that up.
