Hi, Noreen! I made this marinade tonight for our dinner using chicken breast. Another winner with my family! I marinaded for 2 hours just like you said. I cut up the grilled chicken into bite size pieces and placed on top a lettuce salad. I put aside some of the marinade to use as the dressing for the salad. Thanks again Noreen for another great and super easy recipe!

This mojo marinade is the best chicken marinade I have ever made! I made this for a family reunion picnic, so I doubled the recipe because I had so much chicken to cook. This marinade makes for a great char on the chicken. I had so many compliments & people asking what it was, I gave mad props to Noreen's kitchen. Thank you Noreen for contributing to an awesome family reunion picnic.

I just discovered your channel looking for homemade cream of mushroom soup, which I made & it was great. So I was browsing through your videos and can across this mojo recipe. Being Cuban, mojó has been a part of my life always. You did a good job on this. My recipe, which I learned from my father, doesn't include onions and adds bay leaf. He used to make it in huge batches as he had a sour orange tree in the yard and freeze it to use year round. My mom would make candied sour oranges from the same oranges he squeezed for the mojo.

I didn’t know making mojo marinade was that simple. It’s like how sofrito is made, everything blended together.

Goodness Gracious Woman!! You put less mojo makers to shame!! That was some authentic, butt kicking sauce! I think you should be made an honorary Cuban American with that much flavor and garlic going on!! You mastered that!

I'm going to give this a try tomorrow. Looks great! I wish you - or someone - could come up with a marinade that is just like Adolph's Meat Marinade. I love it, but it's gotten so darn expensive over the years. Thanks for the Mojo recipe!

Thank you for the recipe. I recently tried a Spatch cocked lemon rosemary chicken from Trader Joes and have been looking for a way to make the marinade with no luck. After reading the smaller print that states it has a MOJO marinade, I do believe this recipe is the answer. I'm gonna try it tonight. Do you think the marinade will do well frozen so I can always have some readily available?

Do you think this marinade would withstand freezing? I'd like to make a big batch and have some to save for later.

willydawgs My dad use to freeze his and used it year round. He didn't add onions so I don't know how it would freeze with them in it.

It’s similar but just add the oil and cilantro.

My mom NEVER put any onion in her mojito
@NoreensKitchenOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Well I would never put any onion in my Mojito either. A Mojito is a cocktail. Mojo is a marinade and a style of Cuban cooking. But if your mom is Cuban and never put any onion in hers that’s awesome. Because everybody might do it a little bit different
