Cubana Ilyushin IL-96-300 (IL96) landing & departing Montreal (YUL/CYUL)

Both my first time seeing an IL96, seeing Cubana's own aircraft, seeing Cubana's new livery and seeing a Cuban registered aircraft (a lot of firsts for me here!). This is very likely the catch of the year for me... defiantly the rarest aircraft i have ever seen here (so far!)
I hope this IL96 (and their T204) because a regular here, that would be amazing... I hope you ENJOY the video. As you can see, we got 2 IL96 today :D
Reason for IL96 upgrade:
Cubana's leased A320's went back to their owner (rumour is because of failure to pay). Their 737 crashed :( and their leased B732 went back to Nolinor due to lack of insurance! So Cubana had no choice but to send their own metal and because Cuba grounded all their A148, it was this or a T204. This also caused a week of Cubana flights to YUL to be cancelled... thats a lot of pax!

WOWW!! The Ilyushin 96 just HAS to be the Russian kind of the Airbus 340, and as the 340, the 96 has it all...the beauty, the style, yeah pretty much EVERYTHING :) And, if anyone out there wonders, there really is something about FOUR-enginers (like the Dash 7's, the 747's, the DC-8's and the mentioned 340...sooo, the 96 is by far NO exception). No wonder that Vladimir Vladimirovich HIMSELF uses the aircraft as an Air force ONE :) :) Spasiba bolchoy, Rossiya :) Best regards, Jacob Hansen, Kanebogen, Northern Norway...

Wow. So massive. With all happening to Cubana right now I am pretty sure that it is the end for them (at least at YUL). Im pretty sure the departing aircraft are empty.

FelixINX we'll see, the crashed aircraft was leased and the maintnance was in responsibility of the owner, not of Cubana itself. The airline in question is from Mexico and has stopped operations due to an investigation of the Mexican aviation authority as far as I know.

Cubana is a very safe company but the media has given it a very bad image by mixing the story of a Mexican company with the one of the grounded Antonov 158. Also Cubana seems to have a problem with insurance, thats why Nolinor took back their 737-200.

Cuba. LOL. The only "customer" (probably got it free from the Russians) of this white elephant of an airplane. Supposedly, of the 30 built, there are only 15 in service, and only 4 are commercially operated . . if you can call Cubana a commercial enterprise. LOL. The IL96 has to be one of the most expensive airframes in the world and a total economic failure. Although it's a pretty airplane and the Cubana livery is nice.
