Yea man Cubase is on a different level lol😁 That’s just the tip of the Iceberg. I have used it for about 10 years now and still learning something new everyday lol. You can map midi in other DAWs but Cubase just make it super easy to do it with any controller.

What I missed from your video and the video from Jeff Gibson is the drag and drop audio and midi to your DAW. Maschine V2.17 is asking to adjust the audio to the DAW Tempo.

Your workflow is amazing Bro. And very well presented tutorial. Ive tryed for weeks to try and to set up Machine with Cubase 12 just like you. Even checked out Jeffs turials. I just cant get it right.

Guys remember to always switch to "MIDI Mode" because the DAW won't pick up the notes in "Maschine Mode"!

Nice Video. Cubase is great, however I transitioned over to Reaper. Reaper works exceptionally well with Maschine. I think it is the DAW to use as it does everything Cubase, Pro Tools, MOTU Digital Performer, Ableton, FL Studio, etc. can do and more with analog and digital/MIDI instruments in the studio and Live as well. Reaper DAW is so customizable and just works never crashes, never asks you for passwords, and dongles. I want a DAW that let's you work. Reaper has Great workflow. Native Instruments works very closely with the Reaper Team to fine tune everything. I am looking into finger Drumming and looking at the Maschine MK3 or the Maschine Mikro MK3.

The topics you've covered in this video are the exact things I've been wanting to know for years since I got my MK3....adding this one to my favourites......and subscribed! Also is having host transport controls ticked in controller editor possible so it woks with maschine to control the transport in Cubase 10.5 which I'm currently using?

Hey, thank you so much for subscribing and commenting!!🙏🏾🙏🏾 Yea the Maschine is so powerful in Cubase. Yes is should be possible to setup the controller editor to control the Transport control in Cubase 10. Selecting the host transport button should set things up for you.

@@creativedwill Sorry i mean i see your able to use the maschine play/restart/rec/stop etc to control cubase whilst still using it as a plugin (maschine mode) (note: Im also using a komplete kontrol A25 as well if this would somehow create a conflict etc)

Hey so using the A25 shouldn’t affect you using the maschine transport controls. I have the Komplete kontrol 61 and they both work perfect with no problem for me.

Cubase would rule all the daws for sure if it had all the groups/sounds midi edit from maschine. Rite now it's tough cuz I need to create another midi track in cubase and create a new group in maschine and route it correctly so I can pitch lets say for example a hi hat.

How about Maschine Mikro MK3 Scale mode (in MIDI Mode) with Cubase? Basically scale mode activated to play a third part VST in Cubase... is this possible?

Hey, scale mode is only possible in the Maschine Software. It doesn’t work inside Cubase as a controller

The controller editor is for the built in midi functions for other DAWs. You don’t need one if you are just using Maschine software and hardware. If you plan on Mapping the hardware midi functions or using it as a MIDI controller is other DAWs then you will need one.
