In the early 80s I taught the Yamaha Electone Course and sold Yamaha organs. I had a musical awakening when I realized the best way to demonstrate the sounds on the organs was to play in the range and manner of the real instruments. You my friend, know that in your soul. This is an amazing presentation of what these instruments can do. Thank you.

@mikeillgaming4224 I think it was Cubase LE that came with Line 6 Spider amps (at least a few years ago it did.) I bought some other gear that had it too, but can't remember what they were as I didn't pay much attention --- by then I already had Cubase Pro. Maybe it was my Yamaha MX49? 🤔 I would imagine a lot of Steinberg interfaces and Yamaha gear would have at least a trial version bundled with it.

Steinberg make good instruments and effects when they create from scratch without taking inspiration from elsewhere, plugins like ICONICA Sketch, vocalchain, vocoder, voxcomp and blacvalve are very good in my opinion. They must make Cubase different from the rest of the DAWs, have a unique personality and always improve it. If Cubase will remain similar to other daws on the market, it will lose popularity along the way and then users, Steinberg must understand that their ideas are better than those of other producers.

Excellent playing and demonstration of the sounds! Especially impressed by the flutes, horns, and those celli. My one wish is that orchestra sounds like these had a way to lessen the room sound/reverb. They're incredible for everything big and epic but often when getting them to gel with real miced instruments the reverb is too much. I end up trying to use an envelope shaper or other tools to try and lessen the falloff a bit, but that can only do so much.

Mr. Blake introduced me to the Cubase chord explosion technique in which I didn’t even know that existed in Cubase. I was wondering if a Cubase orchestral template for Iconica sketch, if one exists, could be used with the Cubase chord explosion technique, and how that would work? Could that be done? If so, please give me your opinion on this issue? I would welcome any opinions you might have on this issue. Have a wonderful day and week.

Hi Dom. I was really impressed with the sounds that you were getting out of this orchestra. However; I would like to know what is the name of the volume controller that you were using with your left hand for the violins and the rest of the string instruments? Can you give me some idea of the cost of those controllers? I have never used one of those before. I am not even sure if I am giving it the correct name but, it seems like you are controlling the dynamics of the string instruments with your left hand. I would appreciate you talking about that (gadget, controller or what ever it is called). I absolutely loved how you used it with this orchestra. You made it sound so realistic. As usual you make all of your videos so special and I love your enthusiasm when you are sharing your knowledge with all of the instruments and plug-ins you introduced to us. Thank you for sharing. Iconica Sketch IS designed for rough sketching. Nice to have for many users, but it is far away from professional librarys. But first things first. There are many bugs in 13. After using it for one week, i decided to go back to 12. Do your homework, Steinberg, and bring a major update to fix all the bugs and the not unified UI in 13. This is the first time i am thinking about changing the DAW. But 12 is still working fine. So i hope that Steinberg will correct the mistakes soon.
@DomSigalas10 ай бұрын
What I say on the video is that I have played libraries that you have to pay for that are way inferior to what Iconica Sketch is. Nobody said it competes with massive libraries that cost thousands of dollars. What bugs are you experiencing? Honestly, I am working on super demanding projects for advertising with tons of sample libraries and mastering plugins running in one project (and I document this live on my IG stories. Not a single issue on 4 studio machines. Changing DAW is a big claim so please be more specific, if not here (which is not he best place admittedly for reporting bugs), at least on the company’s official forum. :)
