I am a man of honest critic ,because growing of skills is only so possible so, this is one of several videos from you which is structured and where you know what youre doing and not play around. Keep on. Peace

This is brilliant stuff. I came here to rewatch/review this after watching your new video on Cubasis 2.6! Cubasis is now my IOS DAW of choice bar none! It brings everything (AU3 instruments, effects and MIDI) together in an intuitive yet fun manner.
@MeerkatMuzic6 жыл бұрын
Top tutorial Doug really enjoyed that and followed it a treat. I see the chord pads in Cubasis Record direct into Rozeta cells which is another bonus for non keyboard players. Great update.
@perrypelican94766 жыл бұрын
I bet Steinberg will release auv3 apps. To do all this development just for a suite of apps by bram bos doesn’t make sense unless they have more to come. I hope I am right because Steinberg makes very solid stuff. Another classic video from Doug. Unimportant FYI: There was a Canadian band years ago in the 70’s called Doug and the Slugs. The keyboard player was Doctor Fingers. Really.

God, these auto-generated MIDI loops do my nut in! Seems pretty soon I'll just let the software make the track, master and upload it to bandcamp. Come to think of it, it couldn't do a worse job than me!

A bit confused here. I go to the App Store and it says that the newest release is 2.4 but does not offer me to update. Just to open my Cubasis with 2.3.1 or whatever the last update is named.

Sometime you need to refresh the App Store, try going to the Updates Page and pull down and release to refresh, that should work

just got Cubasis 2.4 yesterday but no AU Sequencer, Is that extra $
@TheSoundTestRoom6 жыл бұрын
Yes, but it has nothing to do with Cubasis, the only AU Midi Sequencer Suite available at the moment is the Rozeta Suite, it contains all the midi sequencers inside the one app, there is a link in the description below
@jimshannononsounds6 жыл бұрын
So is the new 2.4 update an iap or free? I don't see the update yet. :-(
@TheAardvarkguy6 жыл бұрын
Jim Shannon on Sounds : Hi. I have been trying to download this all day. In the AppStore the text is for 2.4 but I still only open 2.3.1 Glad it’s not just me! Cheers!
@jimshannononsounds6 жыл бұрын
:-) I even tried to just open up a midi track like Doug did but still 2.3.1. Do you need any midi effects in order open this? I have Rozeta suite
@TheSoundTestRoom6 жыл бұрын
Jim Shannon on Sounds This requires iOS 11, if your on that then the update should be there and is free, and if you already own and use Rozeta I'm guessing your on iOS 11, go to updates in the App Store and pull down to refresh

That’s really very odd, you should be able to get the update, this is a long shot but got to the updates section in the APP STORE on your iPad and just pull down to refresh the page and see if it’s there,

I wonder why almost every sequencer on iOS think the best solution is to remake the desktop version. I don't understand why they don't think about the device they release on. A multitouch device *without* mouse. Oldschool toolbar, window management etc. Steinberg should take a look at Medly. Its midi editor and arrangement is simply brilliant. Gadget is also obviously made with a tablet in mind.
@ShekarCReddy6 жыл бұрын
I disagree. I cannot look at Gadget's unpolished toy'ish UI layout (which is worse than Medly's). If you take a look at Auria Pro's design that looks like a Window's application ported directly to iOS with no native Mac/iOS feel to it, also look at FL Studio Mobile's lazy and flat 2D layout with cheap/candy colors that doesn't have a static toolbar on the top but has HIDEOUS semi-circular buttons popping out of sides and corners and track bars, transport bar on the keyboard that can get closed and the list goes on (compare that to their desktop masterpiece with scalable vectorial interface up to 8K resolution - kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5S6gpV-aNGfrpo) - you would appreciate the UI in Cubasis which is a good balance of ease of use, navigation and workflow and wins every poll with the highest number of upvotes every time because it has the BEST interface!! Sure it doesn't have sub groups, sub folders, etc. and such but it will get there. Are you a qualified and experienced UI/UX designer to make your statements? I'm. Do you think Rozeta has a great UI? It may be powerful but its UI is below average at best.
@Dougie-6 жыл бұрын
I was a little harsh on Cubasis, because it is not that bad. Not like Auria (the worst?) or FLS Mobile (agree with you here). I think the pianoroll is lacking, there's too much zooming and tool picking. If I should choose and iPad app instead of Cubase/Live on my laptop it must be because it gives me something else than what I'm used to. Not a fiddly version of it. I'm not trying to recreate my desktop workflow on a tablet. Medly, as an example, is so quick and easy to edit. Unfortunately it doesn't support midi out so I don't use it though. I'm not a big fan of Rozeta's design either, but love the features and their simplicity. Both Medly and Auxy I think are two good examples of good design for a tablet format. "Pro Midi" is also not bad I think. I'm not a UI/UX designer so it is highly subjective of course. I am a developer (coder) though and have sold quite a few plugins. Although I know coders aren' exactly known for their good taste :-D.

Shekar Reddy You nailed it, Shekar .. The look of an app matters because I have to live with it which is why I chose Reason for my primary DAW.

All I want to know is how do I get rid of the beats I don't want in Rhythm? Those hand claps are driving me crazy.
@TheSoundTestRoom6 жыл бұрын
Hi Slim, couple of ways to do that but the easiest is this, while Rozeta Rhythm is open, tap on the little GENERATE icon in the top left corner of the unit, looks like a little box with five circles in it. Then just deselect the individual instruments you want, then hit GENERATE. Another way when you recorded the midi data onto the track, close ROZETA Rhythm, then just open the Cubasis Midi editor and erase or change the notes you don’t want
@slimbeaux6 жыл бұрын
Well that didn't work. Now I have to figure out where and how the MIDI Editor works. Do you have a video on the way to set up and use Rozeta Rhythm.
@slimbeaux6 жыл бұрын
I took it out of the mix completely and then added it back in; under MIDI Effects obviously. Then I could generate a new random without the hand claps. Need to learn what all the abbreviations mean.
