You are a Saint, Jacob! This was the final piece and push I needed to master CB2.

Wow. I had no idea any of this was possible before this video. My mind is blown a little bit. I have spent ages looking at cubasis wondering what the point of Track 1 inserts > is when there is never anything underneath it. Also wondering wtf R and W are! 😆 thanks!!

How about the nanostudio2, how to make automation for auv3 plugin? Help me 😭
@marianafranssell88496 жыл бұрын
Absolutely fantastic. Hopefully all AU parameters will be exposed automatically and provide visual feedback in the future!

It looks like the adjustment field doesn’t support diagonal lines... meaning more data points required for smooth response. How frustrating.

true, until now

Have the automation been fixed so you can pull from the list besides the native

How come the automation lines that connect the dots look like steps instead of slopes?
@robertsyrett19926 жыл бұрын
I gotta say, Auria is much more straight forward when it comes to automating AUv3. Thanks for showing this work around, much appreciated.

Thank you so much! This saved my life. Speaking of eq and compression, what plugins do you recommend using in Cubasis? Stock, Waves, something else?
@JakobHaq Жыл бұрын
Ever since FabFilter put their bundle of plugins on iOS, I’ve pretty much been using those for everything. I especially recommend Pro-Q 3, Pro-C and Pro-L. There are other plugins that try to do stuff that those plugs do, but nothing gets it to the same level.

But is nt there any water to do this with older apps like thor?
@JakobHaq6 жыл бұрын
Thor can be automated yes, but only through MIDI automation. It doesn’t support AUv3 and so it’s only available as IAA/AB etc. Thor iOS uses the same MIDI implementation as the Reason version. I’ll be doing a big MIDI automation video too in the upcoming month. It’ll be just as thorough as this one.
@SilverDNB6 жыл бұрын
Jakob Haq so if i want to automate thor's parameters like filters, LFOs directly in cubasis i have to use some app like thesys?
@JakobHaq6 жыл бұрын
You can do it that way but it’s not necessary. You can do it from Cubasis. If you look up the CC# MIDI implementation for Thor then you can draw in the automation by hand. You have to know the specific numbers for the specific controls that you want to automate. I’m showing where the full list of MIDI automation CC#’s are inside Cubasis in this video.
@SilverDNB6 жыл бұрын
Ok but thor has a sort of list of cc command where i can see which parameter responds ti a specific cc command?
@JakobHaq6 жыл бұрын
As I mentioned Thor for iOS has the same MIDI implementation as Thor in Reason. Look for the reason manual and go to the Thor section about the midi implementation and you’ll find the CC list there.

What I have found frustrating is I don’t think u can resize the automation clip size or move the automation to another location
@JakobHaq6 жыл бұрын
Resize-ing no, However if you want to move automation nodes around then watch from 8:40 in the video where I’m demonstrating how to do that. And if you want to know how to copy and paste automation then check the video I just published here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hV6yiHWnptNrnNU

Hahaha! I have another AUv3 question. In one of your older videos you said that it was sad that the buttons of AUv3s like the ones by Audio Damage can‘t be midi mapped. Was that added? Or is it not yet possible software wise? I haven‘t found out a lot about that. I would really love to use my 60knobs to control AUv3s instead of buying super expensive modular effect modules :D
