We have a pair of 2020 models, which we love. Now over 5400 miles on mine. Great for commute, tour and days out. we have the normal crossbar model as shown in the video.

Can the tires be changed to a more mtb style for more off road capability

You can indeed add tires with deeper lugs. You won’t be able to go to aggressive as you do not want the tires to rub inside the fender area.
