The range can actually be reset as well, or more accurately can be recalculated, by pressing and holding the reset button.

This can only be removed from your Bosch ebike retailer who has the diagnostics software. They will be able to also remove any future reminders if you elect to do so. Hope this helps.

Make sure you are in one of the levels of pedal assist modes when trying to activate. If you are in the “Off” mode it will not work.

If your bike is equipped with the Purion it means you bike is equipped with the Bosch System 2 ebike system. The Purion 200 is designed for the newer Bosch Smart System ebike systems. So in short your bike is not compatible with the Purion 200

I read somewhere this unit is powered by 2 disposable button cells and not by the bike's battery? So you must replace those buttoncells every time they get empty ?

There are 2 replaceable button cell batteries that typically require replacement every 3-4 years

@@SCOOTERETTI thanks. Normally buttoncells dont last long..... so why 3-4 years? I was told the charge up when bicycle battery is on, is this true? So these button cells are rechargeable?

These are not rechargeable and simply just trigger the system to turn on. Hence why they last so long. Simply replace with 2 x lithium CR 2016 cells

A sprocket remover / chain whip is to be used in order to hold the sprocket in place while removing and fastening the lock ring. Also to be mentioned that most of the torque wrenches do not work anti-clockwise, regardless to the presence of the switch to rotate ratcheting direction.

Just picked up my new eBike and noticed that my lights are on by default. Holding the "+" does nothing and lights are on as long as the Purion is on. any idea how to correct?

This means that the dealer has set the display to be always on. To disable this the dealer will need to connect their software to the bike to allow it to turn on/off manually

No you won't. We recommend changing out the batteries once every 3 years or so as preventative maintenance.

Excellent tutorial, thank you. Had my Raleigh Motus for around 5 weeks and only discovered it had other functions by accidently changing from KPH to MPH this morning, which triggered me to google for further info. I'd literally only been using the speed settings as per the default screen. I'm very happy to learn of these additional functions. Bought via the Internet, and it didn't mention anything of the display changes on the Evans website... and if it's in the manual, I obviously skipped past this part 😂. Thanks again. That’s a drive unit error. Try removing the battery, ensure that all connections are clean and not dirty or corroded, remove display (if removable) and reinstall. If code is still present then you will need to bring the bike to your local Bosch retailer for a diagnostics.

Hello, that depends on what exactly you mean by "used". If you mean the Purion 200, then the Bosch eBike Flow app will be used for everything smart system moving forward with the upcoming Purion 200 being a part of that ecostystem. The app will offer updates and configuration options for the Purion 200. Hope that helps!

I don't understand how power can be transmitted from a middle engine to the wheel without engaging the drive chain.

When using this mode the motor will rotate and use the chain to rotate the rear wheel just as if you are cycling at a very low speed/cadence.

Wondering if this is a concern if I keep using it like this....Have a bike with only 1500 Kms on it, out of warranty with a Powerpack 400 and 4 amp charger. A few weeks ago when charging it started doing incomplete charges. The 5 LEDs on the battery would remain on instead of all going out at the end of the charge session. They remain that way no matter how long I leave it on the charger and does this on or off the bike. This does result in a less than 100% charge. If I unplug the charger until all lights go out and plug it back in the 5th light flashes and after about 20 minutes all lights go out and the battery is at 100%. I do plan on having it checked once the season is over just seeking advice and if this is a common issue.

Try to discharge your battery until you get down to 1 bar then recharge. If this does not correct the issue bring it it in to you preferred shop to connect up to the Bosch battery analyzer to check the health of the battery. Haven them also test the battery charger to ensure it consistently charges the battery up to 100%. Hope this helps.

To change units of measurement simply hold down the "-" button and tap the Power button once. This will switch between MPH & KPH.

If you can drain it by going out for a ride you should bring it into your favorite Bosch retailer and have them discharge the battery using the Bosch battery analyzer that will prep the battery with long term storage.
