Love this review Jonathan. 💛 A big thank you from the designers. 👍 Your enthusiasm and explanation shows that you really got into it, despite your self-confessed lack of dexterity game prowess! Judgement of flick power and cube trajectory takes a bit of practice. Then flicking skills and battle tactics can really develop. 😉 You explain the cube abilities really well but never underestimate the power of the Grunt! These plentiful (12 each supplied) and expendable cubes can defend your King and, with an accurate flick, take out your opponent's cubes or even their King! 👌 As you say, the mats come folded which causes ridges. Flattening the mats can be tricky so Gamewright will send out flat replacement mats if requested, as in your case. The really great news is that a new edition of Cube Quest is currently being manufactured which solves this issue. 😆 Thanks again for this brilliant Canned Manatee review. Flick On! 👌 😁
