Charge doesn't thematically fit for these Identities, which is the entire purpose of self-Tremor: It's flavorfully different, representing resonance and vibration and cycles and mechanical engineering, whereas Charge is for electricity-driven tech and leans more towards Warp than Time, naturally. As for our new old Tremor Soul, I think Chain fills a very different niche from Reverb and will have a good position nerfing high-Clash bosses.

its functionally not the same either, although close. self tremor can be effected by the enemy and can be a debuff in certain circumstances. regardless, the reason some hoped the IDs would be charge is because the remembered T corp collectors from canto 4 were charge. why they were charge im not sure, maybe PM hadnt figured out self tremor yet, or maybe canonically yi sang misremembered/didnt know and therefor the fathoms made them charge, or maybe they used to be charge but since the time yi sang left T corp, they got an upgrade? who knows

aint no way tremor is an "upgrade" compared to charge, like my first idea was that selftremor ids would have the risk of getting btfod into stagger by tremor enemies but since its only count it does nothing(considering that most of enemies still dont have the fiendish "reduce tremor count by x" for their bursts"(also yurodiviy hong s3 tries to be like W corps punish for not having enough charge, being a selfburst of a whole 1 potency on self)) and gameplay wise only centipede interacts with charge in any way

I think you're underrating the fact that amplitude conversion reverb is tied to an EGO, meaning that outside of dungeons it'll take at least a couple of turns to build up the resources for cavernous wailing (not to mentionthe fact that detective Hong Lu's entanglement conditional is tied to more tremorcount than can be built up in 2 turns), therefore I think that this new tremor very much has a niche

@@yehuda8589 Don turns out to be a pretty good 6th slot yeah, namely because for generic purpose teams with like Dieci Rodion, you could very reasonably use the clam and corrosion fluid sac for bosses and essentially give them crippling weak joints aka -3 clash power, and even after all that, Don can still be a 1.3x damage booster if you plan it out which is also decent especially for a tank role. Moa damage, better clashes, draws aggro, is tanky, just good allrounders Also, because of Fluid Sac inflicting 10 Tremor potency and 10 Sinking potency, it means that just by landing a fluid sac, it's automatically one less clash power, amazing how things work out right? Currently Don can be fitted into Sinking teams as well, because you already could use her for the Fluidsac, this id just also makes Fluidsac inflict -1 clashpower (Also Wishing Carn, for what it's worth, also inflict 5 Tremor potency)

I do think offering more ways to gain tremor types for people who are new or don’t have ID’s like ouficliff or ego like everlasting or cavernous Hong Lu is a good thing Like, is she gonna be a mainstay? We’ll see, but having a decent Tremor ID to fill out your slots until you get the full gang is good. Benchwarmer ID’s are honestly pretty useful, and a benchwarmer you may like is also pretty good!

hear me out- use Don on a non-tremor team. Tremor Chain is universally useful and reaches its max potential at 30 potency (although she might need some help keeping up count) Bind is universally useful Time Moratorium is universally useful, and might even absorb damage from other statuses? she tanks, she clashes EXTREMELY well... Nothing here actually requires her to be on a dedicated Tremor team. Just put her on any team with an open slot and let her pull away the big attacks and boost the whole team's damage.

Here's what happens when you burst tremor once with the 7 tremor souls btw: (assuming tremor potency is 50) raise stagger threshold by 50 - tremor (if staggered by tremor burst) stagger level + 1 - tremor fracture take 50 sloth damage - tremor reverb activate all the above effects 2 more times - tremor everlasting and passive effects: lose 3 clash power - tremor chains gain 12 defense level down - tremor decay gain 5 offense level - tremor distribution

Im not surprised they have no charge synergy since t corp has tremor being equivalent to time. Overall these ids seem to be geared toward taking time(stacking tremor and bind) to ensure powerful clashing and all the damage potential is redirected for moratorium. Cantos have steadily been getting more difficult and tremors damage potential is already sky high with yurodivy and everlasting, im glad we got "clash winners" instead of just "win more" to help in low sanity situations

3:04 my guess is that it's either 1. an oversight or 2. they wanted to convey how Ryoshu's passive gives her tremor burst on her S1, and felt that it would be even weirder to have the sfx trigger that one time while all the other times, like in Hong Lu's S3, there's none.
