honestly this shows how hard it is to be successful in youtube, even with great skills.
@ItsGamein2 жыл бұрын
It's not as hard as you'd think, it's just most people would have no idea what to do. There are lots of ways to exploit the algorithm to get the most out of it, as long as your content is also something people would want to watch. The spiffing brit made a video recently showing how he literally edged the premier system to get 20k live viewers on a stream when he averages 1k most other streams kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIrIloSNntl7rpo There are tons of weird ways you can take advantage of the algorithm, it's not a coincidence that mr beast gets 30m+ views every video
@wildenboy_2 жыл бұрын
I literally just watched a guy's first video 13 days ago and now he has 3-4k subs. In 13 days (he hasnt uploaded again yet)
@nuloom2 жыл бұрын
@@wildenboy_ some people get lucky with the alg, other’s don’t. Most don’t. A lot of channels that have 3-10k ish subs and only 1 or 2 videos are bought or repurposed, so they have all their older videos removed. I guess there’s also bots in some cases. Actually getting that many subs from one video is rare and hard even for channels with 50000+ subs. Very few channels get that lucky, and that includes few of channels that have good quality work.
@ItsGamein2 жыл бұрын
@@wildenboy_ that's a bit of an extreme example but yeah when stuff like that happens it's not pure coincidence, there are plenty of cases of people engineering videos to become popular, Andrew Tate's an example of someone who was an expert at it, even if he was a shitty person
@PopeMical2 жыл бұрын
Partially true but he did also actively choose to ignore everything else about being a youtuber if you want to be successful. Titles, thumbnails, descriptions, and promoting are all pretty important, especially when trying to grow from nothing.

This reminds me of this one time i was on a small animation app and decided to make a new account and have the community guess who i was. They got VERY close to finding my identity and I did not expect so many people to be interested in some bored kid drawing pictures on a different account.

I think the more important lesson is that even if you did succeed on one youtube channel, it doesn't mean you can do it a second time as raising a channel requires pure luck
@CubeMasterYT2 жыл бұрын
I disagree. While it is quite difficult and requires maybe some luck, there is plenty of skill in making good videos and doing well on KZbin. I was purposely trying to stay under the radar, but with good editing, thumbnails and titles, it won't take that long to be recognized :)

@@pacifist1354 I completely agree that growing a youtube channel requires a lot of skill and isn't just luck, but Ludwig's video was a very poorly controlled experiment. @kirti38392 жыл бұрын
@@pacifist1354 yes but that video is kinda meh cause he advertised the channel a day earlier on his podcast. DarkviperAU made a pretty good breakdown of why it isn't a good way of showing what he wanted to show.

@@pacifist1354 Ludwig's video proves nothing. Firstly, he made a video focusing on a particularly streamer, who obliged to reacting to it. What if you want to make vids that aren't as personal?
