@@CubeMasterYT I started by seeing if I could solve each side completely then ended up doing what you did - reducing it to a square 1 and solving it that way. And would actually have finished it really quickly if not for the fact that I messed up the final adj parity alg like 3 times :'(

If you think the world records set on 2x2 3x3, 4x4, et cetera are stunning... Give it another 5 years. And Tymon, Max and Wong will be competing in events with puzzles like this. It is the natural evolution.

@@CubeMasterYT It's a confusing name. The Square-3 is a Square-2 with split edges... while the Square-3 Plus is a Square-1 on the top and a Square-2 on the bottom. As the original maker of the Square-3 Plus, I hate the name personally, but it's what Calvin wanted... I guess the Square-3 Plus is a little harder than the Square-2 if you're into that.

Hi Sam. I Got a volt v2 m for christmas and I took it apart to do your volt v2 m setup and I found out the only one slice has magnets so its unstable and when I turn the U and D layers it will try to kinda corner cut with the slice. Do you know of anything I can do.

At the end when trying to solve corners you could have just done adj/adj, also swapping 2 random edges on the bottom, instead of inflicting yourself the parity alg.
@CubeMasterYT3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, realized it a bit later lol
@alexsoriano28652 жыл бұрын
/ 0,1 / -1,-1 / 1,0 / I think that is kind of an adj-adj, but swapping adjacent pieces. You could have used it in the last layer.

I just got the mgc squan for christmas and I love it. so satisfying to turn. But man I cant match ur speed. If i try to go fast, then I end up popping the cube. what do i do?
@CubeMasterYT3 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoy the event! The MGC Square-1 shouldn't ever really pop, so make sure you tighten it a good amount since it comes loose out of the box.
@ZenPapaya3 жыл бұрын
@@CubeMasterYT I mean it’s not really popping, I mean catching a lot more
@CubeMasterYT3 жыл бұрын
@@ZenPapaya Catching is a bit harder to fix, probably best to not turn too fast and work on being accurate first. That's how I got fast at first!
@ZenPapaya3 жыл бұрын
@@CubeMasterYT oh wow thank you actually. I guess it was both popping and catching so when I tightened it, it was pretty much back to normal. Also, ya know how you set up a cube, then use it for months, then it dries up and you need to relube it, do you have to take apart the cube and do the whole set up and cleaning again or is there some way to simply insert the Lube without doing the whole set up process and cleaning again
