The balls are there to add momentum without adding too much weight. The turning should be heavier than how the puzzle feels in the hand. It also is there to help solve the M slice issue with magnetic cubes because the edges don’t have the balls and the corners do, lowering the difference in turning weight slightly. Chris Tran goes more in depth on why they are there.

Yeah I'm familiar with all of the reasons behind them. I just don't think they achieve any of this. If anything I would need more weight in the edges rather than the corners to fix the M slice issue. I've always thought the M slice was too light in magnetic cubes. And after trying the cube without them, the angular momentum reason holds very little weight with me, I could barely tell the difference.

The ball bearings aren't for weight, they for angular momentum. You put them in the corners to speed up your turning, as if you needed to speed it up anyway. The bearing add a negligible amount of weight to the cube anyway.

That red does look a little orangy, but speaking in line with the Hays 7, if a company was willing to work with u and make a personalized cube, what cube would excite u and want made to ur liking 3x3, 4x4, non wca?..etc

NK Cubed I know they're not pointless in general, but they make no sense in this cube. Why would you want to increase angular momentum in a cube that is already uncontrollably fast?

This is when I start to lose your trust. The ball bearings are there to have a light cube but have turns that feel like it takes weight to turn them. Chris Tran talked about this in his newest video. I would not call the weights pointless.
