Tips I can think of: Try to learn every f2l case so it is 0 or 1 rotations. Don't rotate during PLL Don't worry if you get slower when adding a new technique because eventually you will have enough practice in it and it will be faster.

Tip: For PLL, take a break because when you keep doing an algorithm, your brain holds on to the information and doesn't have a chance to recall an alg which is the mindset you are in during a solve.

Having super effecient crosses with out looking at the cross pieces as you do them makes a big difference in solves. That helped me break the sub 20 barrier. I'm decent at x cross if I can see them but the hardest challenge for me is planning the first pair in cross or recognizing where they will end up after cross. If you practice these it will help immensely. I think you've inspired me to practice this and rework ony f2l. There are some annoying cases that aren't intuitive I need to learn. Keep up the good work man.

This gave me inspiration to learn full pll. I’m sub 20, still using two look pll and oll. I’ve been cubing since 2019 I believe, and for the past couple years, I’ve only really improved f2l, cross, and a tiny bit of look ahead. Since I learned two look oll and pll, I put zero time into improving them. But after watching this, I’m for sure going to put full effort.

The set up moves are almost the same as Sexy, with only the last U move going in the opposite direction. Then you just insert the pair at the end. Since you were struggling so much, I thought this might help!

I love this video! It would be great if you could do something like this regularly - or even just batches of solves with your statistics - so we can see the work it really takes to get the time down. Other videos make you think "do this and you'll be sub-10 in half an hour", so it's awesome to see the work and also the frustrations that go in to trying to get that average down, which is much more like I experience! Great work!

Man, this was like looking into a mirror. I’ve been able to solve the Rubik’s cube for many many years but decided in late 2019 that I would fully learn CFOP so that I could speedcube. I learned all the OLL & PLL algs, started doing F2L, etc. I started off at 45 sec and gradually got it down to 22 in three years. I was seemingly stuck at 22 for most 2022 but then for whatever reason, at the beginning of 2023, something clicked and my lookahead just started working (when it barely worked before) and now I’m about 19-20sec. I still make mistakes and zone out and can get terrible solves in the mid to high 20s but can also be as good as mid to high teens when I’m totally in the flow. My PB is 10.9 something or other (obviously a lucky scramble lol).

One thing you also could do is learn some finger tricks. One of the best ones is keeping your right thumb (or whatever hand you do algs with) on the front of your cube instead of on the bottom. I’d also say learn some more OLL algs cause you whiffed some sub-20s by not using some crazy fast OLL algs like on of the T cases.

I'm sub-12 (so not amazing fast but I'm happy with it), so I'll give some advice. First, make sure you can do cross without looking at it every time. This way you can look ahead to first pair during cross reducing the cross-F2L transition time. Secondly, never ever use more than one rotation per pair in F2L, 2+ is inefficient and you should learn a new alg for it. For PLL, some nice algs you could learn are: RUD G perms rUFD Nb Setup to J perm Na All of these are in J perm's PLL video And just a rule in general in F2L is never look at what you're solving while you're solving it, and try to fill the back slots first.
