Ever wondered if they were produced in separate batches/or years? It's not uncommon for watches to have such small nuiances when produced at different times in spite of being the exact same model i.e.Tissot had some minor nuiances on the font of the gentleman silicium that may need a loupe to notice Also, warranty might not have been activated upon purchase. Yeah, this is not fake. The review is not very good and the points can be found between 2 different watches. If a watch is not registered it will not show up. Some dealers and people never register the watch hoping to flip it. This was really weird. A movement is less expensive than making an entire case and packaging.

I go to my country FB Oris waych group and tried for 12 watches and only 1 shown in the Oris Warranty website. How reliable is the Oris Warranty website? There’s no way anyone in China went this far out of their way to produce an exact replica of an Oris watch. I think you’re tripping. Even the best Rolex fakes have more distinguishing features than you just pointed out. What you are describing is likely the tolerance gap that differs from watch to watch during manufacturing. Faking a watch at this level is not an easy feat, not even a little, and it still costs money to fake. It’s not worth anyone’s time to fake an Oris watch since there is not a high demand.

Alex Cas Puting a label on a cheap watch and creating a dial is not in the same realm of building a case, clasps, movement, sapphire, engravings, exact fonts, print quality, material used in the strap, color consistency. The “fake” would cost as much as the real watch. What you’re talking about is not the same thing. These are not fashion or costume watches, it’s incredibly hard to make something like this, and even harder to mass produce.

Noel R true, I’ve had two Oris watches of the same model, slight differences with year, same with boxes and clasps, there are fake Oris watches out there but not this close, best fakes are AP Royal Oak and Rolex Sub Mariner, Both all steel watches and both very desirable, Oris Watches I have a sort of affection for but It seems like a lot of effort to clone a relatively low end watch. There’s another video about that compared the bezel movement, the sound was exact.

I entered the serial number of my Tag Heuer Aquaracer on their website and it couldn't be found. I sent the watch in to the Tag Heuer service center for repair and they could not locate it in their system but they did confirm it was genuine, but they wouldn't cover it under warranty. I think if they're sold by gray market dealers they aren't registered in the system, so they're not covered by the factory warranty.

Usually there are more glaring tells when you compare a genuine with fakes . The box means little ads often mix up boxes particularly if it’s ex display .the bezel is usually a major tell usually more play, if it feels and sounds identical and it is a genuine selita sw200 I would feel it’s probably real with slight variations in the specific production runs . Contact oris and they should help .

For your information this watch is Authentic. The bracelet might have been replaced as rubber straps are much cheaper than a metal bracelet. The reason why your watch doesn’t show up on Oris website is simply because it was not registered by an authorized dealer. 100% real watch . I’ll buy it from you right now for the price of a fake :)

I am an Oris collector and I can assure you these are all genuine. In addition I am also plugged into the replica world and none of the Chinese factories have tooled up to replicate Oris watches except one and would not do do due to the limited number of them they could sell due to Oris demand. Oris is a very underrated watchmaker. I would be proud to own any of these and in fact do own two of them.

High end reps always have poor finishing, rotating bezel is garbage, and worst of all the barreling of the screw down crown is always an immediate giveaway of a fake watch. This watch doesn't have any of those issues. Also, none of the rep watch factories are making Oris aquis. Find me where you can buy this "fake" watch. Also high end rep factories, only care to make Rolexes, Omega, AP, and IWC to such exact specifications. Oris replicas are usually disasters of watches.

I have worked for 2 seperate Oris ADs and own one Oris. This clearly is not a fake. No fake Oris' were shown in this video. Tells on any fake are packaging, Movement, fit and finish, and printing. t This watch passes all. Lack of warrantee card isn't a red flag when purchased on eBay. It's grey market so they aren't gonna give you the card as it ties the watch to the store that is selling considerably below retail and they can lose their dealership if Oris bought the watch on eBay. The color on the rotor is correct. The font on the rotor is correct.

@@steelsteez6118 The knurling on the crown is the number one give away. Look at the difference @ 6:28. The Oris has precise thin deep knurling, the fake has fat vague knurling. Then at 7:21, do you see how the real Oris has a satin or even brushed finish inside the crown knurls, while polished on the outside? The fake one is high polish throughout. Unbranded Sellita sw200 is also suspicious as the real ones usually have a designation. No papers, serial doesn't show up, lug screws are on backwards, I wouldn't buy this one, I'd return it.

Thank you for your two videos on this subject. I find them interesting and informative. I own a genuine Oris Aquis, and have had the black and blue rubber straps. They both had the vanilla scent and the blue one was darker in colour and looked better finished than yours. One other minor difference I have noticed is that on my version, on the case back there is a full stop after the world ‘CRYST’ which does not appear in yours. Why everyone is slating you for daring to suggest these are fake I don’t know, unless they have an interest in convincing people they are real? Eh ‘Sunny’?

@John Edwards - actually it's a brilliant scam. For your information real ETA movements are cheap. If you put a $100 movement inside a fake branded watch like Oris then it can be sold for a lot. Also sapphire is not expensive. Real ETA movements, and real sapphire SHOULD NOT be indicators used to determine authenticity. I can go buy a watch with a real sapphire crystal for $20. And "markings" are just engravings/stampings etc which can easily be replicated. The reason this is a brilliant scam is because someone buying a Rolex for example on a secondary market like ebay is going to be highly critical of the watch and the authenticity of it. ANY watch branded with Rolex is immediately questioned in ALL circumstances. Be it from ebay, or from a jeweler on 5th avenue in NYC. When you talk about going "through the trouble" to counterfeit a watch....you should know that it's not any trouble my friend. It's part of their job and it doesn't take much effort to stamp out 100,000 watches that look exactly like the real thing. The chinese counterfeit EVERYTHING. If you've ever spent any time in Asia then you'd know... There is a market near me with all kinds of counterfeit Rolex's, Tags, Omega's, etc.

High end reps always have poor finishing, rotating bezel is garbage, and worst of all the barreling of the screw down crown is always an immediate giveaway of a fake watch. This watch doesn't have any of those issues. Also, none of the rep watch factories are making Oris aquis. Find me where you can buy this "fake" watch.

@@lespaulranger - Merry Christmas! this oris may indeed be real. my position was that the chinese certainly have the capacity to make fakes like these if they want to. on a similar note there are video reviews on YT of real vs. fake brands like rolex being analyzed by people who live their life in the watch space using 10x zoom and even they can barely tell the difference. They walk you through each an every aspect of the watch and even at 10x zoom you can barely tell the difference. not all fakes are equal. I can buy a fake rolex for $60 at the market near my home here in Manila. But others have bought $1000 fakes and of course they are much better quality.

Agreed. He said his AD has tris on the same side as the crown and 2 fkats on the other side. But the fake has 1 rri and 1 flat on each side. That's simple.

Grey market watches are authentic watch, items from real ADs they cant sell and they need to move so they sell to grey market at extreme discount. Fakes are fakes and most grey market stores do not sell them either. Ebay does tho, so keep in mind

S So with the Sapphire crystals which any watch person would know immediately. The case and the band, we are talking over a hundred bucks to make a fake on a watch under a grand. There is also the packaging. I just don’t know. Did Oris overproduce and dump it on the grey market and don’t cover those serial numbers on the warranty or did a Chinese company make a great copy, pretty much like the real thing? This is the problem with EBay. You can get screwed so easily. You probably know a lot more than me. What do you think? Is it counterfeit?

S I can’t believe that if it was counterfeit, that after making a perfect copy a screw has a wrong head that fits perfectly and the packaging is slightly different? In a $15,000 Rolex, I might believe it, but a $1000 watch that is a perfect copy, except one screw head is different? A lot of these watches were finished by people. If both screws fit, it is reasonable somebody just put in the wrong screw. They used the other screw in the watch, so they had it. I still think it is probably real and dumped on the grey market.

Very, very upsetting to pay a lot of money on a fake..... I spent $100 in Shanghai on what I knew was a fake Franck Muller and ten years later it still looks great and runs perfectly! That said, I almost never wear it because....it’s a fake! I feel so much better wearing my Rolex, Tag, Zenith, JLC etc...

As you probably know the Chinese manufacture a significant amount of the worlds goods. It would not surprise me, and should not surprise you if the Chinese actually do make the authentic service center book, manual, strap, clasp, dial, hands, bezel, and case. It would not be surprising at all if Oris only assembled those components and built their own movements. In fact...many watch "manufacturers" really only assemble the parts that are originally made in china. This is true of most watch brands. It may be the case...that Oris really does make everything in house. Not sure that anyone would ever be able to prove that....but lets just give you the benefit of the doubt and say they do. So what? You think it's hard for a Chinese manufacturer to replicate almost exactly what Oris does? They've been counterfeiting brands for 70 years. There is a market here in Asia 4 miles from where I live where I can go and buy counterfeit Rolex, Tag, Omega, etc with the box and everything. Have you seen the comparison videos online of counterfeit vs real brands like Rolex? You can barely tell the difference even with 10x zoom. And yes...this video is still aids.. but your logic about why the Chinese seemingly would not counterfeit Oris is flawed. And quit putting caps lock on the word "EXACTLY". No two watches are EXACTLY the same, no two boxes are EXACTLY the same. Exact...is a relative term. It maybe EXACTLY the same as far as you can tell. But if you throw a 20-40x zoom on then it's not EXACT anymore is it? The Rolex I saw at the market a few weeks ago looked EXACTLY like the real thing....get it? got it? good.

The one common theme with these supposedly fake ORIS watch videos is that the reviewer never says that they sent to watch to ORIS to verify, hell they never even say they took the watch to ORIS AD to have it looked it to verify. They are just looking at minor differences in the known watch and the unknown watch and making claims. I had a buddy buy a fake Rolex that was a "super clone" and even that was so obviously fake, a jeweler spotted it from a mile away. Have it checked by an expert before you make a video with claims based on your own observations.

You make a good point, but in this particular case I think cubex68 is actually correct about the watch. I own a couple of Oris's myself and I can tell you that the big giveaway here is the bezel grip. On the genuine watch the outer metal grip has the correct angled smooth slope coming from the outer edge of the Ceramic down towards the teeth notches. And the notches themselves are sharply defined. As they should be. Yet you can plainly see that on the fake watch this slope is nowhere near as defined as it is on the genuine watch. Even the notches themselves are nowhere near as defined as on the genuine watch. Come to think of it even the slope of the Ceramic doesn't look right!. Yet those two watches should have identical bezels, which they are plainly not.

They are 2 different size watches. Maybe my eyes aren't so great but they look very close, and I can't swear that models of different sizes have exactly the same angles. I've bought a lot of pre-owned Oris watches and the website has always verified them. THAT would be my guiding light. And if I did get a fake, I wouldn't be making a video. I would be homicidal. But he bought THREE fakes and can calm explain the difference?

It’s not fake, dude. Oris movement is in fact a rebranded SW200 movement so probably someone had it serviced and they did not bother to repair it and changed it with a plain Sellita which is the same if not better. And the fact that SN does not appears on their website just shows how fucked up they are as a company Oris are so cheap, nobody cares to fake them.
