Today on Hermitcraft Season 9 from the Empires 2 SMP, we continue to Spread the Sculk, reaching new dimensions, new empires, and new corners of Hermitopia. We also build up the Hermitopia tower (to sculkify it of course), and fight some Withers with ‪@xisumavoid‬, ‪@MythicalSausage‬, ‪@iJevin‬, and ‪@TheOrionSound‬.

Cub I have watched your videos for years now. I even discovered Hermitcraft from your channel before you joined it when fans started commenting how you should be on it. My children once fell asleep at night to the soothing sound of your voice, and now today I sit here with my GRANDCHILD slipping into her nap while dozily listening to you (My older kids are in their 20s, the younger one now a teenager)... Watching you come from that AMAZING solo world where you built quintuple spider grinders, automatic firework shows, working cinemas, a space shuttle to a space station, and made an entire ravine into a rainbow to this mischievous, crazy but friendly redstone scientist and creative builder has just filled me such awe and respect! You Sir are a top-tier entertainer. Thank you for all the years and here's hoping for so much more yet to come!!

I just realise the irony of how in the beginning of crossover, Cub actually join Katherine monsters slayers club with Pearl and Impulse. And Katherine create the club to combat the darkness that slowly engulfing her Empire. And here we are... Cub, one of her allies, to be the first one who got infected by the sculk that come from the deep dark.

I love that you saw your chance with this crossover and took it! I’m a little disappointed in the lack of…I don’t know, really. From the other hermits. I guess I just thought they’d follow through a little more on the stories, I guess, that they set up at the beginning of the crossover. I feel like a lot of people just kinda…disappeared? I think I just wanted to see more interactions and more integration of the story between the two servers. Maybe my expectations were just not very realistic. Oh well. I am glad to see you’re doing the opposite though!! You’re doing exactly what I wanted to see from the others too. Love how you even tied it to Shelby’s story as well!! You have one of the best arcs of this crossover, along with False!

To any HC followers not used to Empires, please don't be worried about the damage Cub is doing. Empires Season one also had very similar agreed upon infestations (in that case it was demon tentacles). The Empires folx don't often break the 4th wall, but any damage done to bases is worked out among them as they are planning their storylines. Please also know that Timmy/Jimmy/Woody is also not being actually bullied. He is encouraging the toy story arc and even monetizing it with his own Woody the sheriff plushie. His channel thrives on that content and other empires members have said on livestreams that they check in with him to ensure all the storylines aren't actually hurtful.

I've seen some comments on the bird app lately about fans of other players being upset about your "destruction and griefing". Might want to ask others to remind their followers that storylines like this are agreed to in advance, before the discontent gets out of hand. I have no clue where this is going. But, so far, it's interesting. 🤠👍

To all those complaining that Cub is “going to far” and needs to “stop it”, remember that the hermits have discussions regarding stuff like this that affects the entire server. I am sure that the other hermits were already aware and are okay with it. If there were concerns/restrictions, Cub has already been made aware of it by the hermits.

@@zachwillett5853 the hermits have stated before that all pranks that could be considered "going too far" have been discussed beforehand and given the okay :) so dw, it's all in the name of fun. if it wasn't okay with everyone, it wouldn't be happening. and cub's thing w/ the sculk specifically is likely a pre-planned plot point in the lore.

@@zachwillett5853 iirc skulk only turns natural blocks into skulk (like smooth stone, grass, etc). while player-crafted blocks like planks, concrete, etc. just get covered with the veins. So when the storyline is over most of the blocks will just have to have the skulk veins taken off and any blocks that turned into actual skulk will be pretty easy to replace. Worst case scenario, I bet there are multiple backups of their builds that can be used to restore them to their normal state

This comment contains a lot of words so I left a little summary at the end of the minecraft world, I mean comment in case you don't want to read it all. At ~2.147 billion levels only spreads about an area of 2 to 3 chunks at most, and ~2.147 billion levels is the point where the game turns anymore levels into ~2.147 billion, like everything else from height, damage done by commands, etc. as the game can't comprehend anymore levels, like everyother game. Seeing as the ender dragons only drops 12k xp the first time, enough to go from level 0 to level 68, and if you resseruct the dragon, it only drops 500 xp, I'd say it would be underwhelming. Mojang might of fixed this in the ~6 months I learned this, but no one is getting past ~21,000 levels without commands because even I can't with commands in bedrock. The 2 billion levels were achieved through Java edition, but the commands gave me ~2.147 times ~16 billion xp ~60 times a second and it would not budge. Hope this helps. Summary: It'll be underwhelming. Edit: Accidentally left this ".." and did not want the grammar police to, for a lack of a better word, attack me.

Cub, have you considered going to random places around the server and building mob farms up in the air that look like giant skulk blocks and drop mobs down to their death onto fields dotted with skulk catalysts below? Infinite skulk generators that are visible from some of the empires and the tower, but far enough out not to grief?
