I have a cub also. I removed the fence so my fan sits on the top better. I've warmed up food on top, works good. I always keep a can of water on top. I have had trouble with wood not completely burning to ashes. I would recommend the mini cub to anyone. I use it in my almost cabin. Thanks for sharing.

It is funny how often you see people posting "your pipe is upside down!" comments on any videos about wood stoves. Makes me think there must be an awful lot of improperly installed pipe out there...

@@ChiefNonsense Even though I learned this about ten years ago I almost fell for it myself after watching another video and almost commented, glad I rethought things out or I would have made a complete d..k out of myself lol, it happens even when one should know better. Awesome review! Can you explain why the secondary combustion doesn't work well? Producing little smoke is an important feature to me as I consider one for my stealth camping van.

It does work, but the fire has to be pretty hot. Since it’s so small, keeping a fire at full heat is pretty difficult. If you get one, use super dry hardwood. In a van, being stealth would probably be a challenge. Even if you can’t see the smoke, you’ll probably smell it. Best wishes!

thats B-vent pellet stove vent..not meant for wood stove use, the high heat can gass off zinc fumes from the galvanized outer layer and its not meant for these high temp applications..this stove calls for double wall stainless which is hard to get, I had to make mine of three inch with a four inch added over the top because the suppliers were backordered indefinitely..Thanks for the temperature information. This is a great little stove but could use some modifications. The secondary air doesnt work too well and needs more volume with greater pre-heating..But for an installation under $1000 its a great deal, much better than the thin wall steel stoves and has great firebox insulation..works great once you get it very hot and with clean, dry wood..(I have the Grizzly and with only slightly larger dimension..the volume is MUCH larger..)

Well..... this is a tiny wood burner. It do send get much hotter than my pellet stove, when it’s set to run full bore.

It is currently heating a poorly insulated 12x12 room. At 30 degrees f, outside, It can usually hold the inside temperature at 70 degrees f

They are a little on the pricey side, but well worth it. Just remember, order it at least a month before you will need it. Shipping takes a while (to the states).

Stove pipe tips: go to a muffler shop, get 3" pipe, have them expand the bottom. PERFECT fit, no problems. Weld it up for a permanent fit and just slide it on over the outlet.

Great video. I have a wood burning stove and it worked fantastic but the police and fire department came and told me that it was a fire hazard so now I can't have heat at all in below 30 degree weather! Please comment for suggestions.

Was the pellet stove piping kit all you needed for the flue it did you have to purchase extra pipe/ fittings? Does your flue turn for another 90deg outside or is it just vented horizontal to terminal fitting? I have one of these stoves that came w/ converted cargo trailer but never use it & was thinking to try in in a cottage 12x 30' One Large room - This room has a pellet stove which has the same venting thimble you have about 5' off floor w/ 2' of horizontal pipe to fitting angled 45degree down so rain / wind won't enter - I have thought about installing this for awhile but unsure about how much pipe needed to draw correctly - Was thinking it best to keep angles & 90 degree fittings to minimum- but I guess I'm essentially try to do the same as you here just in more if a conventional house - Any advice much appreciated-

I have the grizzly (the larger one) in my 200 square foot one room cabin and it is sized just right. I don't think it will be able to heat 360 square feet.

Its a very small wood burner. Just remember, small heat, small burn time,small fuel, small everything. Cubic Mini commented on one of my other videos, saying that I should have ran it through the ceiling. (using no elbows of any kind) I still feel that it works just fine the way I have it. And yes, Just one complete pellet stove pipe kit, is all I used here.

Cleaning the glass: A spray bottle with a little diluted dishsoap & water works great! ALSO!!! FIRESTARTER! Use wood chips with diesel fuel on it. It works FANTASTIC!!!! Does not flash and it soaks nicely if slightly dripping and starts the wood EASY!! I use a little scoop.

Its not bad. You just have to keep at it, like you would with any wood burner, only more often.

currently, it is in a 12x12 room that is poorly insulated. Originally, it was in my living room, in my house. It preformed better in the house.
