I love this pattern! It will be perfect for walking my Hearing Dog Luna. Like Beau, or is it Bo, she is a Labrador but almost white with bits of yellow at the edge of her ears and end of her tail. Beau is lovely, I was looking out for more sightings! I do have lots of 'help' from Luna and my cat Oscar. Oscar walks across my work all the time and often lies down for a sleep! He is often on my lap while I am sewing which is tricky when having to reach over him. He is a big cat. Luna keeps asking me for attention, presenting me with her toys. Off to look for the pattern!

Just wondering, couldn’t you put a zipper in across the front on top of the pocket for easy access?
@marlenecosta36144 жыл бұрын
@@amandasilk9927 maybe yes but the top of the pocket seems to be quite low for the breastfeeding part without having to expose a lot of breast lol. I have been making a pattern from another designer and that works good but i would like different styles as well. Thanks for your tip maybe i will try it

Yes I have 5 cats and 4 dogs in my house at the moment ... they ALL want to get in on the sewing action. I am an animal rescuer, and I foster a lot ... so many are my furever pets, but a couple of them are fosters ... the numbers in the house always change, but no matter they all want to be under my feet no matter where I am or what I’m doing. 😌

Another awesome video Diana ! When I sew bands, I zigzag the bottom raw edges together so they stay flat and together and I sew all the layers together and don’t have to fiddle with them ontp the serger. So I would also zigzag the bottom of the pocket and the bottom of the skirt together in the same manner.

@EllieandMacPatternsLLC2 жыл бұрын
It can be challenging to find the perfect fabric. you really could use fabric that has almost or a little more than 50% but if you use one with very minimal or too much stretch it will affect the fit. we have a ton of helpful sewist with lots of fabric idea options over in our FB group. the link is in the description and you may be able to find some help sourcing fabric in the UK ❤️

I wondered why sometimes you work with only one hand - now I see that the other hand is probably petting Beau. My cat was right behind my chair one time - I didn't know it and rolled right over the end of her tail! She was only mad for a minute, but she lost a chunk of fur.
