I am confused. Is this a wood cue? Or graphite? Or what am I looking at. I want a step up from beginners' cue. I played with it just once. I assumed it was a wood cue. Can you explain this like you are speaking to a 5 yr old?

Just got and played a few racks with my new avid sneaky pete 11.75, love this thing. The English, and control thereof, is amazing. Very pleased.

Yeah the more I use it, the more I like it. Great feel, very good power transfer, and so consistent. Also, really appreciate how the joint progressively tightens up, just feels solid and well connected.

Cuetec all you need from a cue. all my pool playing life I have played with cuetec ,many diehards are being converted to cuetec ,the technology, quality,and the price working people can afford.

We sold so many Cuetecs over the years at the poolroom it’s crazy lol. One guy rage quit a tournament and went outside to break his Cuetec. Leaned it on a 6” curb, drove up it with a truck and it never broke 😂🤣. It actually still rolled pretty straight.

Holy cow man! I didn't know that about cuetek cues. Pert darn near indestructible... I want one. Last cue I bought was in 94 and it was a meucci M-4 I think, black wrap, dark rainbow forearm and 4-point dark points over the forearm, I didn't like how the wrap was glossed but it was the 90s and it was my first. @@mulhollenbilliardschannel654

Great vid. What do you think about the colours? How’s the Mojave in person? Would you choose any other styles in the avid series?? Pictures always deceive so I wanted to get your thoughts as someone who has seen it in person.

I love the color, the supplier I can get these from has all the colors and I picked this one and it looks a lot like the pictured imo. So I’d say pick your favorite and trust the pictures. If you’d be interested in purchasing it from me let me know. Thanks!

@@mulhollenbilliardschannel654 how would i go about buying a cuetec avid chroma abyss from your facebook page? I’ve visited the page last week and did not see the posting i’m looking for 19oz 12.75mm tip and you said you had a bundle with case and wipes or something like that? If you could send me the link thanks

How’s the balance of this cue? I found it to be very light around the tip (it’s hollow for the first several inches for the LD features). It feels a bit back heavy but overall too light for me. If I buy one I’d probably add in one or two 0.5 oz weight bolts to it. Amazing playing cue, just doesn’t feel like one in the hands.

I ordered a 19oz and hold the very end of the cue since I’m tall. So felt balanced to me. But could see that being the case for some players. What color did you play with?

@@mulhollenbilliardschannel654 That makes sense…I’m average height and hold it a few inches from the buttcap so it would feel different to you. So I actually bought one but can use it for a month and then swap it if I don’t like it, I’m debating whether I should buy the weight kit or buy a different cue. I’m looking for a decent intermediate level stick under $350 ish. I got the Bordeaux colour, which is great (it’s closer to a red tinted Bronze)

Good review but a cue fault you noted may be correctable. You said that the weight was a bit more toward the butt than other cues you used. Avid Chroma has a weight system that users spacer to move weights along the butt toward the shaft or butt end. It appears this is nothing like that available in the McDermott H-Series but it appears only McDermott and Avid Chroma have something to move the weight-balance point. It may allow the Avid Chroma to have the same weight balance as the others you have used.
@bell989
@bell989 2 ай бұрын
Cuetec’s Avid Chroma 18-ounce cues likely have no weights added to them and, therefore, Cuetec’s weight system cannot move any weights around. If the cue seems butt heavy in an 18-ounce cue? The user is stuck with it and Cuetec’s “Acueweight Generation II” system won’t do any good.

What weight did you choose? Did it come with weights you can take out, or is it hollow with no weights? I’m thinking about ordering a 21oz and then adjust to my liking by taking out the weights. Thanks.

Thanks for this video very informative. I am thinking if I should get the chroma or the sneaky pete. I read that the cuetec chroma butt is two-part resin coated. Do you think the cuetec chroma butt would last longer than the sneaky pete?

I just received a brand new Cuetec Avid Era cue and I'm a bit dissapointed. First of all they sent me the shaft bended, it played ok but hey, it's a new cue so shaft MUST be straight. Cuetec replaced the shaft, hats off for them. But then the nightmare. It vibrates... a lot. It sounds like a spring when I hit a ball with spin, in Europe is way more expensive that in the USA. I don't know what to do, It's hard to get used to this awful vibration. What is you expert opinion? Thank you.

I’m wondering if that is from the 12.75? Mine was a 11.75 and it didn’t vibrate anymore than say a revo. The only real option would be to switch to a softer tip to see if that helps. A Kamui black soft might help. Let me know what you think if you make the change

generally speaking things that vibrate indicate something is loose or it cold'nt vibrate. maybe the wieghts? joint? IDK. best of luck.

un-screw the bumper, you'll find a weight bolt. More like than not the weight bolt is loose, you'll just need to tighten it with a screw driver. This can happen to any cue.

I have one. I can't tell any difference in deflection from the 12.4 revo I had
@JohnBowl14690
@JohnBowl14690 10 ай бұрын
The difference in sticks at this level is mostly preference. A lot of good players are going back to the wood shafts. From my observation, $200-$400 is the sweet spot for finding great sticks. If you pay more, you're basically paying for either the name, or for something you PREFER. It's no longer performance, but preference. If I decide to later go with carbon fiber, I will just buy a JFlowers shaft for $200 and put it on my Cuetec. I'm not spending $800 for an overrated Predator.
