I'm confused. Is this a wood cue? Or graphite? Or what am I looking at. I want a step up from beginners' cue. I played with it just once. I assumed it was a wood cue. Can you explain this like you are speaking to a 5 yr old?

Nice table. Is that simonis 760 or 860? And, I saw a video of u playing at railhouse billards (where is that btw) and they said you quit playing 12 years ago and started again. I too quit competitive pool but it was 31 years ago when I was 23. I was a 135 USPPA handicap then and seriously started playing again 9 months ago. I’m going to refelt my table to 760 to get it fast the 860 is fussy & it’s upstairs so the 760 will do better with humidity. I’m Gonna tighten down my pockets to 4.25” too and practice hard another few months with the new setup then hit some tournaments. I feel like I’m already playing better now than 31 years ago and now 54. Cheers.

Good review but a cue fault you noted may be correctable. You said that the weight was a bit more toward the butt than other cues you used. Avid Chroma has a weight system that users spacer to move weights along the butt toward the shaft or butt end. It appears this is nothing like that available in the McDermott H-Series but it appears only McDermott and Avid Chroma have something to move the weight-balance point. It may allow the Avid Chroma to have the same weight balance as the others you have used.
@bell98923 күн бұрын
Cuetec’s Avid Chroma 18-ounce cues likely have no weights added to them and, therefore, Cuetec’s weight system cannot move any weights around. If the cue seems butt heavy in an 18-ounce cue? The user is stuck with it and Cuetec’s “Acueweight Generation II” system won’t do any good.

Very nice case, but I’d worry about that red showing dirt in a while. I always try to get cases that are black or dark colored to hide dirt. I do love all the pockets on this and the double straps. Impressed with how many shafts and butts this holds, wow! You got a good deal there.

I Installed the 7’ Perimeter Light (with dimmer) above a newly acquired Valley Panther. Love it! I’m not used to such bright, uniform illumination! Central axis 3-lamp pool lights will go the way of the dinosaurs. They’ve improved the connection system by adding black plastic seam covers that screw onto the aluminum channels. No more black electric tape. I used black hot glue to fix the electric cables to the inside of the channels. That worked extreeeeemly well! Some advice on the supplied “self-tapping” drywall anchors: pre-drill for the initial shaft diameter. These things heat up and melt the sharp thread so that it won’t draw itself in. Then screw them in SLOWLY until seated. I would like to see a hex cross section on the cable-to-channel anchor (part H) so it could be tightened with a small wrench. If you want, I can send pictures showing the new cover plates and hot gluing technique. Again, awesome light! A+

I'm in the market for a Billiards table light for an 8' home table I'll be setting up. This brand is a likely candidate. How many wires hold this up? Is the default a hard wire or a plug-in? Thank you
@mulhollenbilliardschannel6542 ай бұрын
These are very light. So 4 is enough 6 is good to, to be on the safe side. The default is a plug, I suggest plugging it in a power strip so it’s protected and on a switch. Please use my code DanMulhollen for 5% off and it helps the channel!

Question, I have a retired 5k series predator cue that is slightly warped underneath the pin. I’ve talked to a few cue makers and they said they can’t fix it… I love this cue and I’d really like to get fixed to play with again. Is this something you can fix?
