When I first got a take Along model of Culdee, I never had a clue about why he had a face on his back because I never remembered reading the Railway series books

If I had it my way, I would put 2015's Culdee on 2005's chassis, then replace the boiler with 2005's as well. And while I prefer the rear face on 2015's model, I honestly think I prefer 2005's forward face. Anyway, it's great to see another solid discussion from you and I can't wait to see what you review in the future. :D

Thomas the Tank Engine holds a special place in my heart, I love the big book with all the stories and I have hoped that many of them would be shown in the tv series, though for me I will always prefer the original series because of how it was portrayed with the models and very little cgi but I love the new characters that have been introduced in the more recent series

I think the 2015 Culdee is Great! It has nice detail, and it's pretty much solid wood! I also have the Culdee and the Apple Orchard cars 3 pack and the Culdee in that looks fantastic as well! When you said the 3 pack didn't make any sense. Apple Orchards have been seen in Mountains before. Nice Review!

Interesting to see when they make Thomas merchandise of Culdee fell railway, they only ever made Culdee. Ertl made Godred and Lord Harry, but that's the only exception.

I honestly don't remember why I said I wouldn't be reviewing them at the time. I'm pretty sure I was waiting to get the second version of Culdee for the review and that's why I elected not to do a discussion on him. I'm not sure why I was against reviewing Mike but then I ended up doing him anyway. That was a long time ago and it's hard to remember what I was thinking back then.

I believe it's because Culdee's mountain line doesn't have an area for him to turn around so he needs to be able to see when he's going back down the mountain.

This was a very good review and I can honestly say, the 1996 version of Culdee is okay, the 2005 model is great, and the 2015 version is a very good model. I have to admit. But, to be fair, I'm kind of split between the 2005 and 2015 models of him, actually.

Culdee's basis is designed to only move in a single direction without spinning around on a turntable. So in The Railway Series stories about Culdee Fell, the coach at the front of the train watches the tracks ahead while going up the mountain, and then the face on the back of the engine watches the rails when coming down.

Culdee is a rare engine and model. But the 1st model is rare. 3rd model is nice and new Take. 2nd model looks like the Take Along version. Since learning curve had done both wooden railway and Take along.
