Hello Sonia, To use elastic instead of zipper, you have to ignore the hip curve step in slide 3 (0:52) and make the top line (a to c) the same width as Quarter of Hips. So, waist line will be same width as hip line. Thank you so much for watching!

Hello, Hip depth falls between 7 inches to 9 inches for most women. These are palazzo pants, so 9 inches work well for all sizes as it's a loose fitting garment.

Actually we divide it in half at the crotch level (for crease line) not from the waist. It won't matter so much in culottes pattern but if it were pants then it would cause fit issues.

Hello Kat, if you actually watched this video closely, you'd have observed that was no mention of crease lines or any attempt to create crease lines. The INVERTED PLEATS were used to introduce added fullness to the trouser silhouette.
