I keep going back to min 10 after the song is over and listen again to that section. It's the most intense thing i've heard in years in metal. The build-up is insane... what a fucking masterpiece.

This band changed my life, it has made me appreciate life and respect death, think more deeply about our planet and what mysteries lies across the solar system. We don't have much time. Until this song, the album feels like a quite strong 8/10 (Approaching Transition takes some of the momentum from the album imo). But then... GODDAMNIT!! You truly left the best for last... Best song Cult of Luna has ever written, just goddamn perfection. And Julie Christmas is just beyond amazing in this song!!

Six months ago, I was in a dark place. I was using Amenra as the soundtrack to my divorce. Now, the opposite is happening. Jesse Lapham I agree, at least that it doesn't work with CoL. I'm actually dumfounded that this album was so well recieved. It seems to me that it flies in the face of all the advancements the band made to be unique. The instruments weren't really all that special either
