Somewhere along the highway introduced me to cult of Luna....Dim was the piece of music that changed my life forever ....Dim is just the song that never fails to choke me up. I tear up everytime I hear Dim. Eternal kingdom was the second album I heard ....simply amazing the lead guitar in Ghost Trail solidified my love for the band Vertikal took awhile to grow on me and i started worrying that the band was going in a way creatively that i wasn't partial to.... mariner with Julie Christmas .....so different so beautifully grotesque. Got to toronto to see them okay it live with Julie amazeballs and awesomesauce a Dawn to fear blew me away 12 years of listening to this band and they still have that intensity that I crave in music. They play at a speed that's reminiscent of Pink Floyd in a way ....here we are 2021 been suffering through this pandemic globally and it sucks and I hate it and u hate it and all this pent up aggression must be released .... and here it is thank you cult of luna I'm raging out ... let's see how this pans out but while I listen and enjoy, never forget : From the skyline dark clouds move in. They shroud me with her cold cover. Eyes like daggers puncture the skin. Isolated in a room with no others. Where do I turn when all hope is lost? Where do I find forgiveness? My search for salvation has begun. To find a place where our hearts beat as one. Thank you cult of luna This song saved my life 5 years ago

Since this is a "bridge" album of sorts, I have one suggestion if anyone hasn't already done this. That suggestion is to listen to ADTF and The Raging River in succession. The transition is damn near seamless and you can hear the natural progression from ADTF to this album and what to possibly expect from their next full length album. As much as I wanted a new, full length album, the movement from ADTF to this album is so damn incredible that when the next album releases, I will listen to all three in succession. I don't believe CoL will ever disappoint. I wish more people could appreciate their craft in all its essence. Thank you CoL!!!!

Got mine a few days ago, and I can say with absolute confidence that it's not only a fitting end to 'A Dawn to Fear', but better than most full length records released in the last decade. Penso che il brano con Mark Lanegan alla voce sia una buona idea, dimostra che i Cult Of Luna hanno buon gusto nel collaborare con nomi eccellenti della Musica. 1 week of non stop listening. This record is so good, I like the old dark vibes (eternal kingdom, the beyond) mixed with those more "straight to the goal" structures like on ADTF. These guys are able to look on their previous stuff and go further everytime. As a drummer, the drumming still improves album after album ... on this one the use of 2 drums kit is so well done, those little snares rolls, additionnal hats and toms are so good, they always add something interesting to the main drum part :) That lead groove on "wave after wave" is tasty as hell, this song is so original by the way ! And i loose my head every single time on "I Remember", impossible to listen at low volume haha; I could write 1000 comments like this, COL can do no wrong. If this is the transition between ADTF and the next record, this is going to be epic ! You did an amazing job as always ! See you in Strasbourg !
