I could be talking out my proverbial butt here, but as a person who has kinda suppressed his emotions, I think I get what is happening here. Baal is able to express his emotions in a healthy manner and doesn't bottle things up, making him more stable when being reunited with his mother. Aym, I think, is like me. I rarely cry, but when I do, it usually hits me way harder than I expected, in an unstable manner, like Aym here. He likely already believed he would never be reunited with his mother whereas Ball perhaps had a little hope still.

I legit cried a bit when I had this encounter in my game 🥲 Specially when she goes “when they didn’t returned, I pray they had a smile and were with some one who was taking good care of them”. I mean, I killed them and Narinder didn’t care about them anyways! The poor babies!!!

I wouldn't worry about that: you're the leader of a pagan death cult and it goes without saying that you've cleaned the cult's litterbox at least once. That counts as taking care of them, I think.

This sorta made me realize that even though all of the bosses have sought to or have harmed the lamb he still helps them, either by giving them a home in his cult or reuniting them with their families. Sorta makes you realize that the lamb, sure, is very dark and manipulative, but is kind and compassionate.

There's not much to see when you encounter them on crusades, so I didn't bother saving the footage. They just stand among bones, in their full combat forms. Baal says some edgy things, then Aym says "what he means is: thank you" and that's it.

@@curiouscreator8806 Ops... Yes, I mixed them up. In my defense, Aym seems to be a random name, while Baal is a Hebraic demon, commonly referenced in novels and video games. Though I suppose there is 'Aim' (also spelled Aym or Haborym) among the 72 Demons of Solomon. The game seems to heavily borrow demon names from there. It's just that Haborym is already a boss in Anchordeep.

So far as I know, you're supposed to get a relic each. I haven't heard anything about having to bring both at the same time. The way Forneus speaks, it's as if she doesn't acknowledge that both Aym and Baal are present at the same time, so it's likely developers intended for them to be brought separately. In your position, I'd check one of the tarot card books to see if I didn't skip past the popup by accident. If you really don't have it, and have returned both kittens, you should file a bug report.

Do you have to turn them into followers then make them into spirits? Or can you sacrifice any follower and get them?

• First, you need to play the wheel of chance until you get the Light and Dark necklaces. • Second, you equip those necklaces on two followers you particularly don't mind losing. • Third, you sacrifice both via the ritual. This gets you both kittens as followers, but also permanently deletes the two sacrifices. • Forth, you turn them into demons and take them to Forneus. Though this will likewise permanently remove them from your cult.

There are also some secret dialog from The One Who Waits & Shamura after getting the two of them. Shamura reveals that they directly sent Baal & Aym to The One Who Waits so he wouldn't be lonely. The One Who Waits just tells you to do whatever with them, as he doesn't really care about them. This is once you've had them in your cult for a little while.
